Kudos to Paradox here. When they announced this DLC I was not very happy, seemed like it would be a few new events and a couple of new screens. But I'm pretty blown away by how much content it seems they're adding. Seems like it will really allow for much more roleplay and just something to do in peacetime. As well as making the game much more challenging and complex.

These little details are amazing especially the one were the armour gradually gets more and more advanced as you advance through the game.

Honestly I'm glad that with all the focus on a travel system being fleshed out, we see things like pilgrimages also getting reworked and incorporated into the travel system.

All the old activities are getting revamped as part of the travel update. Did you watch the video? Hunts, pilgrimages... basically if it actually requires moving around, you'll use the system for it.

all travel should be incorporated including when you want to marry a spouse or interact with other courts in any way. Force us to send an emissary if the ruler doesn't go themself. I wish all characters respected their location and required travel time.

This is the best dlc by far, if future updates are like this CK3 will go down in history as one of the best medieval grand strategy games ever made, well done Paradox, I'm looking forward to this one, keep up the great work

Not only does this bring so much more storytelling to your characters and realm. This adds that much more personality to the character you're playing! I love this, now lets hope it's good on release.

I am so hyped for this new content!!! The only thing I wish we would get with this new DLC is coronations. I think it would be so awesome to be able to travel to our kings coronation or even to other countries, or make our own. Invite who ever we want to like pope, our vasals, friends or foes. But again, I love this new content, cant WAIT!

The Coronations mechanic was in ck 2 added with Holy Fury dlc. I doubt that they would make same dlc twice, this could anger the community. But lets hope they would do it anyway. I wish that they brang back a lot of mechanics from ck2 too like organisations,"magic",merchant republics etc

@@panzaraza77 paradox has stated that features already present in CK2 will be added through free updates, their DLC will focus on things that were not present in ck2. This is why for example regencies will be added for free in the next update as they were already a mechanic in CK2, but new travel stuff is DLC

This is a great addition. I like that players are finally getting things to do while at peace, especially since war wasn't always the only thing that rulers thought of. I'm hopeful that in the future there will be more things to manage when it comes to your lands and vassals, and more to do as far as roleplay goes.

I like it. I like that there's more room to really dig into a character and flesh out their life and actually have more tangible ways of impacting the world around you. That will be good stuff. I really hope given their direction with this and then with the story pack dealing with wards/child rearing and other new struggle region that they eventually give some story attention and activity love to the Counts and Dukes of the realm. Maybe not quite as grand as the travel system (though it would be nice to be involved in those events too) but even just more activities and story events would be very welcome. But I like the direction thus far, it's very encouraging

Im actually blown away by how good this looks. I was reading alot about potential new features and stuff on reddit and youtube but man some of the additions of this DLC even blows away my wildest expectations. They found a perfect way to include something that even CK2 severely lacked and added a whole new spin to it. Damn. So looking forward to playing this.

Thanks so much Paradox. The amount of content in this Patch/DLC easily beats all the previous content added since the release. This is more like Crusader Kings 3.5. I can't wait. The cosmetic evolution of clothes through the ages is something I ever wanted in the game. The travel feature is a game changer, and I can see how It will be used in future content like coronations if you need to go Rome to be crowned by the Pope. That said, I would like to see in future content different mechanics to make the game a bit harder, in the style of Conclave/Reaper Due DLC's.

Bit the bullet and bite the season pass. I wasn't hostile to tour and tournaments like most but I definitely needed to see the dev diaries to convince me to buy. I personally get bored map painting so to see peace time content expand dramatically is super compelling to me.

It is technically already possible to pull off a red wedding in the current version of the game if you own Friends and Foes. If you manage to get a family feud going you can start a scheme to do a bloody wedding! :P
