@mikel6517 I've never known anyone who bought 2 mugs. They would probably out live any person. It's a favourite with a lot of people, but it is a pleasant end of the cook system. When you're having your brew. 🙂☕️

If you still enjoy the mark 1 stainless steel crusader stove, there is a new accessory that clips on top of the crusader mark 1 stove to make it taller and provide more wind protection. It's called the BCB Heat Shield For Crusader Cup - Black (1.2mm) Stainless Steel and is sold on eBay by the seller GOODKIT The clip on stove wind shield acts like the taller and newer crusader mark 2 aluminium stove.

You can lock the handles of the MK1 canteen cup so they don't swing around. A cooking cross seems better suited to put a cup over the trangia in my opinion, also because you can put a wind shield around.

Trangia works better with the Mk 2 stove the MK1 cup fits too

To add the functionality of the mark 2 stove to the mark 1 stove, just use the BCB Heat Shield For Crusader Cup - Black (1.2mm) Stainless Steel and is sold on eBay by the seller GOODKIT The clip on aluminium wind shield blocks more wind and channels the heat upto the cup more effectively. It's only £6 so worth a try and doesn't add much extra weight.
