It should provide protection as a yautja mask is acid resistant and it would take a while for the small amount of acid blood to seep in and hit the yautja to implant an embryo. However it has been stated under the Brawler article is that facehuggers can get them in fact it given enough time. Some yautja are skilled enough to knock a hugger out of the air. Others are really aware, skilled yautja get implanted out of overconfidence or a stupid mistake, youngbloods are just dumb enough to do stupid things, aka F*CKING SCAR! However some predators may or may not have hardmeat involved masks, hardmeat being an armor made of xenomorph skeleton and likely skin. Yautja aren't usually foolish enough to get themselves implanted. It's likely some are aware they are and would proceed to self detonate or find a way to remove the burster completely.

the crusher was terrafying in the game. i took down 2 crushers by my self in multiplayer. the firts by wasting with all the rockets from the launcher the second was by shooting it while running in circles around a crate in the excavation, i think that was the name, map.

A theory of mine is Xenomorphs in this case are comparable to Tyranids of Warhammer 40K in the idea that they evolve and adapt new variants of their species to serve different purposes. We already know they are a hive mind with the queen at the top, maybe a queen is capable of manipulating the eggs she lays into creating the type of Xenomorph the hive needs...in this case a battering ram.

avp extinction already shows us that the queen xeno can choose which eggs become regular and which become royal eggs albeit the royal eggs are far more costly in the game than the regular ones which is why you dont see many Praetorians unless its a powerful hive

I hope it actually is a Praetorian Runner, it would make a much needed more organic impact in the mainline of the xeno DNA. It doesn't help the case that there was only one ever seen. Though this fact can be combined with the radiation explanation, that the fallout messed with the Queen's "thinking" and pheromone-telepathically allowed a Runner to morph into a Praetorian, which she normally wouldn't allow... ...due to the molting process taking the involved specimen out of the equation of hive defense, which can equally be done by Runners and Drone/Warriors, yet the resulting non-Runner Praetorian is arguably a more cost effective result in terms of downtime and nutrition tradeoff well known by the Queen. At any rate, the more types of Xenomorphs the hive has, the more versatile it's defense/offense varieties become, ultimately making it stronger! This is always the case, excluding some really dumb ideas. ALTERNATIVE HOSTS AND THEIR EVOLUTIONS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED MORE OFTEN!

I always see Xenomorph as a species that's main talent is its ability to quickly evolve and adapt to ensure or maximise the likelihood of its hive to survive. With this in mind, i see new strands of Xenomorph such as the crusher as being an adaptive evolutionary response to a current threat in order to counter it whilst minimising damage to the hive. As you said its crest is bulletproof and it can knock back heavy vehicles a fair distance and probably damaging them to the point of being somewhat unusable. This could be the hives attempt at adapting to the threat of marines with guns and vehicles at their disposal. Weve already seen in older games that Xenomorph hives will spawn Ravagers at times of war with other hives, showing that they will specialise their types if needed.

I'm actually curious if the Crusher or the Praetorian were an inspiration for any of the bosses in the Aliens Armageddon arcade game. When I first saw this creature, I thought it might be similar to that game's first boss with the exception that the Crusher walks on all fours and the Armageddon first boss is bipedal (though it does walk on all fours occasionally).

If it is a runner what was the host? We didn't see any any in the movie, or proof of dogs. But in 3 it was originally a Ox and not a dog. For all we know it spawned from what ever life may have naturally been on lv426, and is it just me or does Wayland come off like Umbrella? Making BOW's using people as experiments, having their own military. And such.

I think i know what it is,you may recall in your previous video,the life cycle of a zenomorph you included what appears to be a cow/bull zenomorph hybrid after reaching out of a cow/bull host which shows similarities to this zenomorph and the form and the way it stands is similar to a bull along with the speed they can reach when in stampedes and the way it heads slanted before they charge in regards to the position and sheer size hope you consider this and make a video to support this theory.

why some predators give their technology to some humans and some dont as all about whos directing the movie and what source material they use but if ive read inte the predators enough it would make sense that in dire need and if a human proves themselfs by killing an honourable prey as a xenomorph, they grant the honourable "warrior" a weapon as a honourable reward sort of but it would have to be something really honourable or something that gave them their "mark" as the predators hunt for honour and not for sport hope i explain abit of it .. my english isnt exactly top notch as im swedish and have a hard time with some words ^^

S. Nifrum You got a point, because the Predalien for AVP:R acted in a similar manner to a Praetorian/Young Queen while other Predaliens through the franchise just acted like regular Drones/Warriors. Also, the AVP:R Predalien had a large elongated head like a Praetorian while other Predaliens have skulls that are similar in shape to Predators.

It does remind me of the bull alien from Kenner. Overall I would say this could be a praetorian level drone ad they seem to move around on all fours far more often and are evolved from animal like beings whereas warriors more often come from two legged more intelligent beings.

What if the crusher molted from a runner,the regular xenomorph is of course spawned from a human host and the chest burster molted into a drone,the drone is one of the weakest xenomorphs and the reason why it molts into a Warrior is to be much more stronger and to avoid to get damaged or get killed easily (I suppose),runners could be as weak as a drone and its possible if it molts into a crusher (or a chrysalis alien first),that’s my theory of how the crusher alien is created

The Crusher has got to be my favorite Xenomorph other than the Alien Covenant Xenomorph but the Crusher with him being A mutant has to be plausible for me from the unnatural thought of the Colonial marines bringing dogs to the Xenomorph war... because the Runner Xenomorph is the Dog alien... From what I have heard and Alien 3 is the Movie with tha dog alien and those people(Spoilers Ahead) Were not Colonial Marines from what I remember...on Earth that brought that Dog with them... Or is their actually a natural Quadrapedal Xenomorph that doesn't have any thing to do with it's form taken of a dog???. I don't know much about Colonial marines so that is why I am asking.
