Love your videos. Do you have a video talking about the running shots. Awesome job on the running shots Jeff. If you could get a scope veiw of those running shots that would be priceless. At how many yards do you need to start leading them? How much do you lead a running coyote at 100 yards?
@GeoffNemnich5 жыл бұрын
Thx man...running shot are definitely a skill you can only learn by shooting at lots of running coyotes. Every shot is different. I'm guessing I lead coyotes farther than most would think. 6-10 ft sometimes!
@FORDEVR5 жыл бұрын
For sure takes a ton of practice. Just gives us newer guys an idea of where to start. 6-10 ft at 100 is very helpful and definitely more than I would expect. I Probly lead a coyote length at most at 100 so that would explain the misses. Now I’ll start 1.5-2 lengths Thx again. I’m making my first stand of the year today so I’m pumped.🤗

@@GeoffNemnich what did he screw it into? the holes are generally towards the front.

He tapped a new swivel stud into his rail to fit it on that way
@C.A.T.Outdoors4 жыл бұрын
Why is likely because a pivotal point in the middle of the rifle gives you more range of motion for swinging your barrel to easier track moving targets with less movement from the shooter. But the trade off for increased mobility in your rifle is less stability in your shot. Might be why Rick seems to miss more shots between the two even though he has a Burris Eliminator Optic that ranges distance and estimates for bullet trajectory.

@@GeoffNemnich sweet!!! My favorite. I have a friend who is a retired USMC Gunnery Sgt, and an extraordinary gunsmith. He dialed my old Win mod 70 and hand made all the ammo I used in some competitive shooting I did many mango seasons ago. He never would tell me what it was, that sneaky old geezer. All I know was that the brass was unmarked. I also did a bit of prarie dog hunting in New Mexico with it, too. Deadly. As I said, my very favorite caliber.

As intelligent as the coyotes seem to be when they’re freezing and trying to get your wind why is it you guys don’t use any kind of set blocker when you’re out there hunting

What's the reasoning in murdering all these coyotes? Just asking.
@dancolley42085 жыл бұрын
Ask any farmer out in southern Kansas if this is "murder" or is it "ridding a farm from dangerous predators". They kill sheep, particularly lambs, goats, calves, pet animals, and anything they can gang up on and kill. They are also carrion eaters but they WILL chow down on your daughter's little poodle. They generally hunt in packs, so cattle, deer and other livestock are not immune. My farm? "Murder" all of those bastards.
