TDR Nova can be used as a dynamic EQ and multiband compressor, so it would cover all the needs you might have on the bus. I never tried the Tubescreamer thing, but I do run my guitar through Distorque's Rangebastard, which is a free Dallas Rangemaster Treble Booster simulation, before hitting the amp. dude the gtune plugin does not tune the guitar audio but display the tuning and the notes for you tune manually your guitar.. nice video man, thanks.. "GTune is a chromatic instrument tuner which operates much like its hardware counterparts. It will automatically detect the pitch of a note being played, and display the Western scale note that it is closest to. The main part of the display mimics a typical electronic tuner. When a pitch is detected, the nearest note is displayed along with an LED-style indication of flatness/sharpness. There is also a text display providing more accuracy, should it be needed. It gives the detected frequency in Hertz and its position in the Western scale. The latter is shown as a note-name and an offset in cents. For example, "E -13" indicates that the detected pitch is 13 cents below E."

Hey! So much stuff can go wrong... 1.) Clipping due to hot pickups - go for a Radial JDI Passive Direct Box 2.) Guitar hum noises due to shitty wiring - bring it to the guitar tech 3.) Electricity issues - try a power conditioner (like the furman ac-210a e) or record with a BUS-powered interface on a laptop that runs on batteries 4.) Shitty Scarlett - I've ditched mine for a Clarett, 10x better, wish I could have gone for an RME Babyface

So I spent copious amounts of time downloading, patching and adjusting all the presets to match what you did in the video up until the bussed track because what I have mirrored sounds really terrible. Not even close to the sound you have going on in the video. I have no clue how it can be so far off base when Im matching your settings exactly and routing everything in the order you have. The gate isnt really cutting like it should. Theres a lot of dirty noise even while Im playing. The guitar tone is very weak. Reminds me of my first gorilla amp but with more white noise underneath. Even trying to adjust different things doesnt make it sound any better or closer to the tone you have. I dont understand why. Really disappointing. Is there something I'm missing here?

do you have the Impulse Response in the signal chain?

How is DI signal into your interface, is it set to Instrument and not Line IN? I had a similar issue and that was 99.9% of the problem! was always running on Line IN and not changing the input impedance to cater the signal

@@diatonious8710 what generation is the focusrite? I have Gen 1 and it sucks for instruments input... Can't handle it. Try a DI box with it or upgrade to Gen 3...they rock. Think it might change your sound! Also, what pickups are you using on your guitar?

Thanks for the video. Long time I love STL plugins. One question: what did you use to make your drums. They sound amazing. I've tried different VSTi's for drums but they feel not much natural, or I don't know how to set well, maybe. Greetings from Chile!

It could be your guitar or your UX2. I had/have a UX2 but since switching to the focusrite 6i6 the quality noticably changed and sounded a hell of a lot better. What's your DAW of choice, your guitar? Etc

Are you able to do a video for a Drop C 6 string? Im having troubles finding a good modern 6 string metal tone i have tried amped roots free ,the ignite emmisary amp i was looking at the 14.99 audio assault one but its no longer free and i want to research a bit more before i spend mobey and waste it . I have have a bunch of free seacow irs, got the ggd zilla cabs vst for irs , the catharsis irs and the ML soundlabs "greatest ir in the world". I just cant figure out a great sound like alot of others have achieved in their youtube videos. i followed this video and set everything up before realising you were using a 7 string hahaha so needless to say it doesnt sound good .

For the life of me I cannot get the TS808 to show up in reaper. I have the .dll file downloaded, extracted, and in my plugins folder but it doesn't show up with my other plugins in reaper. Tried clearing the cache and rescanning, autodetect, and neither worked. Any ideas? I have another TS plugin but its garbage.
