I also used a day-in-the-life approach for Why Us essay, but I edited the structure and wording a bit to suit my concept of intersection of CS and Music (2 class on CS + 1 CS/CS+Music Club + 1 Specific Music Program through class or club). You're always running the risk of copying an "idea". Mine might just get more popular now, but I can almost guarantee this is a very standard template everyone uses!

This is really great honestly, the amount of hard work you've put and how well researched you were. However, I do have a question, when you're mentioning all those very specific details about the professor, are we sure that it will have a impact or give the colleges an understanding how well researched we are, considering that "yes" an admission officer reviewing my essay would be aware of the department their colleague is teaching, but to know the classes or podcasts they're working on? What do you think about this?

The uni I am applying to has 5 different options to choose from for these supplemental essays. "Why us ?" is one of them but there is also another option to write about my strategy to solve an issue and i think i can do better on later but i don't have much idea on HOW to write that whereas for the "why us" essay, well your vid is so helpful.
