Crusoe arrives! | The positive birth story of our little baby boy

Follow us through the full day... or two, when our little baby boy Crusoe was born. An ordinary day that became truly extraordinary. What a crazy nerve-racking and exciting day it was. None of it went according to "plan", he was 17 days past his due date, and we ended up having the very opposite of the birth plan we'd prepped for with a hospital induction and an eventual cesarean section, but it couldn't have been more positive and wonderful.
Midwives are true angels and the care we got at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford was second to none. We couldn't be more grateful that our little man is with us safely.
And now, the REAL adventure begins. We can't wait to show our little man the world he lives in, to teach him how to look after it and to make the most of it. In our wedding vows we promised to raise our children as little wanderers who know a world without borders, and horizons full of endless possibility.
We are the Newbys, John, Tara, and our two little boys Crusoe and Sawyer. We’re a family who are pursuing an alternative lifestyle, and after two years of full time travel we’ve taken root on an abandoned farm in Northern Portugal which we’re renovating into our dream off-grid homestead. We release new videos every Sunday sharing our story, and we’d love for you to be a part of it with us. This beautiful Lady is so strong, brave and no drama pragmatic. Woesome! He is such a good man too. A lovely couple and Mom and Dad for Crusoe and your new one about to arrive! I wish lots of love and happiness forever for all of you🥰💕💐🕊 PS? We had six babies using the Lamaze birth without pain method. My husband and I took a refresher course everytime we were expecting. I loved having our babies, funny that I was most ready to have another one just after I deliver one! But then, the most I ever waited to deliver our babies after I went into labor was 3 and half hours, the last one was just 45 minutes... I don't know if I'd be so enthused to have six children if I had to go through such a long labor as you did. Good luck and best wishes on the new addition arriving soon to your Family 🥰😍👱‍♂👱‍♂🎉

Well, babies are not able to calculate ;) and know their due date Take it as a compliment Tara - Crusoe loved his life inside you The one funny thing that i always wondered - why are people in England take their own pillow to hospital? ;) I suppose you have changed your mind about the "fabulous" vaccine from Oxford by now. But we all learned a lot during these last 3 years. I am really amazed how cool you were Tara despite having to go for the induction alone to start it off Still wondering about the indication for the c-section. Induction usually takes days, so nothing unusual there. What i can tell after watching this video for sure - Both of you don´t look a bit older now than you did these 2,5 years ago. So the children keep you young ;)

Congratulations! Another traveller/explorer/adventurer/seeker is on the move! Go Crusoe - go and see the stars! And go freediving in the Indian Ocean, learn to drink a lot of Greek coffee, swim with the dolphins, go to Stonehenge, look up at the ceiling in the Moscow metro, go to Zim and learn everything you can from your grandparents, have a pancake in Holland and remember to love your Mum & Dad to the end and even thereafter.
