Would love to see ya turbo a Prius engine for your starlet. They have forged rods, ceramic pistons, one of the cams is rotated for better flow. Tons of other good things about it plus a electric water pump. A fella in NZ has an echo with one running with bmw1000 throttle bodies making 141whp. Keen to see what you can do with it turbo.

The 2.5l QR25 is known to have really weak rods, some people were even able to break the rods on the earlier versions of the QR25 (still bone stock, no power mods) just from driving more aggressively 😂

The rod’s don’t just fail! it’s usually because they hydro lock with a head gasket failure, that being said they are made like ramen noodles!

Yeah turbo on a stock engine is usually not the best bet. Just like putting a hybrid turbo on an older turbo car with out mapping it is also not the best bet. Dont ask me how I know 😶

I owned 2 of these over 2010 i forgot what they were but my first one was amazing and it had a 5 speed manual and the other one was auto but it was a bonavista edition with bad trans issues but man i loved those especially the good plastic front fenders and i put that thing threw so much i plowed 3bor 4 inch trees down and was always fine till a stick went threw the headlight and off threw the fender it went. I also always showed them off wjen i could. Fuck those Saturn doors and have shit on these they took a police kick door many many times. The one thing i hated about it was how its front wheel drive in 2x4 but it still slides pretty awesome in 4x4 . If im not mistaken more power goes to the back
