I don't really remember giving too much of a fig roll about these Hondas when they came out but looking at yours I'm not sure why, they look awesome! Proper sporty little number. Great colour too! She came up a treat, that engine bay looked factory fresh and the red engine cover was a great finishing touch!

Also, does the CRZ have the second hood prop position, to allow you to open the hood almost straight up? That was a game changer for any Honda engine bay I was working on. I know some Hondas have it and some don't

Same strut brace as you, Tegiwa intake manifold, K&N induction (which is stupid money) and decat which I know isn’t engine bay related but wanted do with with intake 🤷‍♂️.

Interesting hearing your thoughts on the hose pipe ban, we had ours lifted a couple of weeks ago. I washed my car with watering cans once in that ban as I was sick of it being dirty, interestingly I used about 3 times the water I’d normally use with the pressure washer 😂 makes no sense

Pretty sure it’s lawfully unenforceable. They just call it a “ban” so 99% will comply when it’s really just guidance issued by the water companies, not the authorities. I think on average they piss away something like one bathtub per house per street every day through leaky pipes lol.

I was using a couple of 10litre water buckets and some Optimum No-Rinse during the stupid hosepipe ban. I'm still not convinced about all the claims of it lifting the dirt, but I've got all the materials ready for a full 2-stage correction and ceramic coat as soon as the weather gets good enough, so I'm not so concerned about minor swirls. And my car is pearlescent white so the marks are hard to see. In fact, if this good weather continues I might get a chance to do the paint correction in the next few weeks then stick a temporary wax on it. Great video from the Guru as always... did my engine bay with the cover off just last weekend. Had a few squeaks from drive belts afterwards but it all fixed itself in 30s. Keep on cleaning, everybody!!

I love wrinkle paint, that "masking fluid" looks like a nightmare though! I haven't had the courage to do anything but a rinseless wash wipedown of my Toyota hybrid engine bay, cheers to you

Your Kranzle gauge seems to be holding well after you re-filled it then? Your video of how you bought that machine back from almost certain death was brilliant. Edit....nice one for calling out the water company leaks, they are the worst offenders. In various parts of the South there were so many leaks in the summer.

I have a crz too. Dont worry about covering anything bar the intake! wash as you please with all products and water. have done this multiple times with my own with 0 issues over many years :)

Hi Joe. The red texture finish on the rocker cover on my '08 Honda S2000 is starting to flake off in some places. Would that red aerosol paint be ok to use as a temporary touch-up, or should I just remove it and get it refurbished professionally? The exposed surface is bare alloy.

i was allways told never ever use a pressure washer even at low pressure on a engine just use a hose pipe and a spray gun. as if you have one of tthose under engine plastic protectors then there should not be much dirt in the bay as for putting a bag over stuff like the alternator it is not nessory as it is in the engine bay and it is ok to get wet as the heat from the engine will dry it so no rust and the coiles are coverd in laquer
