China Vows To "Punish" Taiwan President Over Attempts to "Split Nation", Mocks US "Hellscape Threat"

China on June 27 warned Taiwan’s newly elected President Lai Ching-te that he will be “punished by law if he “attempts” to “split” the nation. The warning from the Chinese defence ministry came in response to the United States’ alleged plan to “deploy” weapons in the Taiwan Strait. According to a report by The Washington Post, the US is working on a strategy called “Hellscape” to “thwart” China’s attempt to “invade” Taiwan. China's idea of "Reunification" is a contradiction and doesn't make sense. They have the One China Policy that states Taiwan is part of China and refers to Taiwan as a province of China but at the same time says Taiwan must reunify with China. See the contradiction? How can you remarry your spouse if you have a marriage certificate that says you're already married? If Taiwan and China have not "Reunified" that means they're two seperate entities that are not unified, however, the One China Policy that most countries ablige by clearly states that Taiwan is part of China. I think this reunification is just PRC nonsense and they just want TOTAL control over Taiwan and its people. It's nothing but an excuse.
