The Mullahs in Iran are very worried. The loss of Syria means they can not re-arm Hezbollah. Israel has gutted Hezbollah of its weapons, numbers of fighters and prestige. All of the other possible supporters like Russia have also lost big time in Syria. Other countries will try to aid the Lebanese in ridding themselves of this foreign force that does not aid its interests. Though whether this is successful is doubtful. Iran has spent a lot of money in both Syria and Lebanon. With nothing now to show for it. This money could have been put to better use in Iran. Trump is much more antagonistic towards Iran. He will not take a measured response to any Iranian threats. He will act first and pull no punches. Any sign that Iran has nukes will see Israel attack, and expect Trump to follow. A serious attempt might then be made to take out all of the levers of repression thst keep Iranisns hostage in their own country. This would have the benefit of removing support for the Houthis and thus a chance of peace in Yemen. Does snyone think China will risk giving unranium to Iran when it is already top of Trumps to do list?
