Best oil cooler video! I've seen several of this exact same repair. This is by far the best in depth. Crystal clear, audio and directions. Great job! 😁👍

love seeing a proper in depth guide on changing the seals as well as a full disassembly of the problem part, as someone who just changed the coolant seal for the side pipe that runs under the turbo to the rubber line from the thermostat housing (due to a coolant leak from that O-Ring) without removing the turbo this video was much appreciated on the other options i had for changing it! keep up the awesome work!

Do you have a part number for the replacement gaskets??

Out of curiosity, what brand gaskets did u end up going with? There’s some doorman ones but they’re going for 50-110$ idk what else is out there and reliable.

I’ve got to do this on my car at the weekend. It’s an Astra j 1.4T but looks the same set up. Out of interest what sort of time did this take? Book time says 2hrs. I’m not convinced haha. Thanks.

Takes a lot longer when videoing. haha

@@killawattgarage I actually have done the job now. Took 4hrs in total. Not a bad job would be alot quicker if you didn’t have to take so much off to access it ha

Hi where did U get the gasket kit? What brand? Thanks for your help

I used elring brand. Purchased online. The aftermarket quality is OK but the genuine items aren't perfect either.

Nice video, could you tell me how many miles or years have the cars when you change those seals? I would like to know how often I have to replace them preventively. 😅
@MiscwithmichelleАй бұрын
I think for the cruze the engine heat cooks the gaskets a lot quicker so you have to change them often like every 50,000. Mine started its oil leak around this time. Sucks but gotta do it. Apparently this happens with almost every cruze. Common problem

You need an engine cherry picker to pull the gasket numbers
