I have coolant leaking out of the coolant line that goes into the filter. Is it really just that oring that stops it from leaking?

Excellent presentation! All up, how many hours work from start to completion? Whilst this far into it, is the water pump easily replaced? Keep up the great work!

i believe the water pump is on the timing cover on the left side of the engine. hours depends on your vehicle and the tools you have as well as parts. taking me about a week or more.

I assume you already replaced your water pump, but I’ll post this for anyone wondering. The water pump is on the left side of the engine behind the serpentine belt. The engine mounts have to be removed and the engine has to be lifted up with a floor jack. It’s a pain in the ass.

Be sure you have the correct O Ring. You can also try some liquid detergent (dishwashing liquid) to help it slide in.
