You know, i the fact that this song is a "pop rock" really serves the lyrics well, acting as a contrast to how the singer say he doesnt want people to know he feels so he puts up this happy energetic facade

I was expecting a heavier and rockier(I can't explain the term LOL) 90s alternative rock sound like on their live gigs. But I will still give them a chance since this is just their first single.
@rudythedog137 жыл бұрын
Especially since Josh Homme is producing, I would think he would bring at least a little bit of a heavier influence.

Nick said in interviews that he had a few pop songs that he wanted to make more aggressive, but was talked out of it by Josh Homme. I believe he was told that he should stick to his guns, and not try sounding like Queens or aspiring to some other standard. There are heavier songs coming, as seen from the live videos.
Let's just treat it as what it is. and "sticking to his guns" completely different
@vichansford38697 жыл бұрын
+Aleksanderh It was just an interpretation of what was said. I didn't say it was a direct quote. What I meant is that Josh didn't want Valensi to change just for the sake of change.
