This track is from one single live performance. A performance that was never supposed to be recorded. If we were never supposed to hear this, think of what other live tracks we may have never heard. BoC are amazing, yet so very frustrating sometimes.

Boards of Canada: Type of band to create a banging track that is only featured in a live concert and never released afterwards, and then proceeds never to play live again. Goddammit, lol.
@kaylemkerr69896 жыл бұрын
From my understanding (hopefully I’m not wrong) most if not all of their music was made for the enjoyment of family and friends. It seems to some extent even now this is still the case. Which is why some of their music is still yet to ever be released for large distribution and sale. Also I think BoC just believe for what ever reason that their earlier stuff is unsuitable for the public.
@sweetwheatsy6 жыл бұрын
Oh wow... Somehow I can't say I'm all that surprised, considering their overall presences, but man. Can't really blame them either. But as long as they do acknowledge their music has influenced (and continues to) the life of not just their friends, to a pretty large extent.
@josshibu41554 жыл бұрын
@@kaylemkerr6989 the BoC brothers are perfectionists when it comes to their music. My guess is these tracks were made without public expectations taken into consideration which would explain why they dont want anyone to hear them outside of their family and friends. Fuchk Geemale Indeed, in my opinion, this mix takes something that was once annoying in the original recording and turns it into a sample that becomes part of the song, in a very BoC way. The guy making what sounds like a very enthusiastic comment at 10:38, (The comment Benjamin referred to) perfectly timed after the song ends and before the rest of the audience starts cheering is a favorite moment for me.

The timing of that particular audience member was especially memorable however. I don't think you could ask for anything better from a live recording.

It's funny, for a band/group that has Canada in the name but is from Scotland...I instead am reminded solely of the southwest states.. especially four corners area, Albuquerque. Probably because I had them as my playlist on a trip there last year. Their music is the perfect complement to that scenery: wide-open landscape and ever changing horizons, long sustained, orange pink red gradient sunsets accompanied by the backdrop of mountains and rock formations. Almost as if the music was made for that.
