Great video! One thing I noticed was your CAT TQ was still in the packaging. Maybe consider taking that out and staging it. If a TQ is being applied second are vital and you don't want to spend them taking off the plastic. Also taking off the plastic with shaking and bloody hands could be more difficult than you expect. Informative video and I will probably be getting the JPC 2.0 soon.

Great choice. The Slickster and the spiritus rigs are overrated in my opinion. People like the idea of minimalist, but most people turn both carriers overt even thought they aren’t designed to load bear as much weight as carriers such as the JPC.

It’s been a year sense this video, how do you feel about the Kywi mag pouches? I noticed mine tend up push my mags out a bit.

I love mine. I did have to replace one that basically lost all its tension but they’ve been outstanding in my experience

VietPho I actually got it on Amazon. But it’s now sitting in a bin. Not because there’s anything wrong with it, the knockoffs work great, but I opted to go with KYWI singles. I like the look of kywis better 🤷🏼‍♂️

The Protech plates are NIJ certified level 4 ceramics so I’m not sure what the criticism of them are. They were issued to me so I didn’t buy them but they definitely provide adequate threat protection. Not sure what is cheap about that. 🤷🏼‍♂️ The JPC carrier and the esstacs are pretty common. Not really a “flex”.Pretty standard as far as good carriers go. ....As for the knock off pouches, they’re pouches. I don’t see the point in spending a bunch on it. Anyway, I never boasted about anything and I never had anyone have a problem with my setup, say for you, so.. alright then. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Duly noted. Lol.

What is the plate size for the back plate on the jpc? I’m looking into picking up a jpc 1.0 and have ceramic stand alone plates that I’m not sure if the back will be the right size for the back plate I have!!

Chris Berry I’m using ceramic for my rear plate. And it is rectangular cut so it’s actually bigger than the sapi cut plates. You should have no issues with fit.

This may be a little late, however... The carrier size is reflective of the plate size. A large JPC will best accommodate a large SAPI cut plate and a Medium JPC will accommodate a medium SAPI cut plate... Make sure you get SAPI cut, as the JPC is designed for that specific cut. A 10x12 “shooters” cut plate will fit, but you may need to do some “rigging” to get it to set right (I know from experience)...

I’m 6’5” 250 about a 49.5” chest and I have RMA Defense Level 4 10x12 plates. Anyone have any idea of A.) this will fit me and B,) will it fit my plates?

Yes. It will fit. The XL JPC that I have fits 11x14 ceramics. You’re probably gonna have plenty room for the plates. If you have a big frame, you may wanna consider sizing up on plates. I’m 6’1 250 and the 11x14 still feels small. Lol but yes. It will fit.
