Agreed on the G-Hook warning at 9:18 --the ride height is a good way to punch yourself in the face every time you want to get to your mags. With my JPC 2.0, I sewed the tubes adapter and the quick doff cummerbund together, so that I have the ability to put it on easily with the tubes and keep my adjustments exactly where I want them, but in an emergency I yank the handles and it all falls apart like it's supposed to. It's actually pretty simple. All you have to do is take out the stitches attaching the doff velcro panel to the cummerbund, sew in the tubes adaptor, then place the doff panel behind the tubes panel. It'll extend about an inch past the tubes panel. Then you sew the doff panel to the tubes panel across the edge closest to the cummerbund straps, size it to your body, close it up and voila! Easy on, easy off, with quick doff capabilities still intact. Best part is that if you do like I do and put a single pistol mag pouch (whatever your favorite one to use is... doesn't matter. I've tried it with HSGI, BFG, Condor, Ronin tac, Haley strat, and some airsoft brands -there's one from a company called Idogear that I really like, AND it fucking handles some abuse... I'd feel totally comfortable running it in actual combat) then you can grip the mag pouch like a handle and the tubes become stupid easy to slide in. Getting them off is just grab the loop and pull away and down. I would make a video, but I'm fucking lazy and hate being on camera. I figure anyone interested in this stuff is relatively smart like I am, and can figure it out from my explanation. We grunts aren't stupid... we're crazy. Stupid grunts don't last long, amirite? But you gotta be crazy to find this job appealing in the first place. What kind of asshole thinks it's a good idea to run TOWARDS gunfire? *This asshole, duh.* 😂🤣😂🤣

JUST A RANDOM PIECE OF ADVICE I LEARNED ....SMALL LVL 4 SAPIS(highcom 4s17m's) FIT WELL IN A 10X12 MEDIUM JPC SWIMMER CUT.
@C981394 жыл бұрын
I've looked at the JPC 2.0 and SPC. I'm stuck between the two. I have RMA Armament 10" x 12" x 1" plates. Their website says, "Single-Curve, SAPI/ESAPI-Cut" which I'm assuming would just correspond to a shooter's cut plate carrier? If so, would the medium sized plate carrier SPC or JPC 2.0 be to correct size for these plates? One more thing, when talking about the SPC, you mention not using the hangers, but you do mention AXL though. I was thinking of running a placard setup for my front panel (probably an AXL conversion) so it's easily interchangeable/removable, do you have any objection to this idea? Other than all of those questions, thanks for the informative video! Much appreciated.
@C981394 жыл бұрын
Sorry, one more thing, do you think the JPC backpack or molle panel would be compatible with the SPC?
@EODFish4 жыл бұрын
Back panels are good to go. That is an easy one. Medium should be what you need but that isn’t a shooter cut. For all intents and purposes, shooter=swimmer. I’m a bit lost on the placard question but you can’t go wrong with anything AXL.
@C981394 жыл бұрын
@@EODFish I only ask because on the Crye website the SPC comes in a regular "blank" version and swimmers cut version. So I wasn't sure which one would be the correct choice for my plates. At 20:15 you talk about the hangers on the SPC and recommend not using them. AXL has an adapter that adds a middle layer of velcro between the two on the SPC chest and then loops through those hangers for side release buckles that drop the height to placard standards.

How much does a JPC 2.0 like yours cost please? Everything is separate and if my math is correct it’s a very expensive proposition.🤷🏼♂️
@EODFish4 жыл бұрын
You are correct man, it isn’t cheap. I don’t really have a running total on it all but you are probably looking at upwards of a grand without accounting for armor or equipment.

If you could only have one, which one would you choose?
@EODFish4 жыл бұрын
I want to say JPC 2.0 because I have the most time with it but all things considered, the SPC is significantly better and I love the way it can use the AVS dedicated pouches. I have a admin pouch that I designed which fills the only gap left over the JPC so there is no reason to go that route unless the SPC just isn’t comfortable for you.

@@EODFish I wish I could try them out first. Not like it would matter anyway, everything is out of stock! Thanks for your detailed review. SPC was where I was leaning.

Will Botach 10 by12 ceramic plates fit the Airlite spc carrier? And if so, what size should the Aiite bags be? I’m guessing large Airlite Plate Bags with small Airlite Cummerbund? Or is that even an option? Thank you so much sir for taking the time to explain this. My spine is crushed in 2 places and I’m looking so hard for a plate carrier set up that could work for me. I like the structured cummerbund by Crye, to take weight off my shoulders and hopefully work well distributing weight to my hips using the stikks system. Tks man.
@EODFish4 жыл бұрын
The botach plates are pure chinesium so I don’t recommend them at all. That said, they should be shooter/swimmer cut and would probably require a large swimmer cut SPC.

@@EODFish The SWIMMER cut SPC fits differently than the normal SPC as it matches plates. 10"x12" plates fit the size LARGE Swimmer SPC, apparently. But MEDIUM (Regular) SPC fits Medium SAPI (9.5"x12.5") plates.

I just don’t think it does anything better than its competitors and with significantly less flexibility than it needs to be a true jack of all trades which would give it some forgiveness from me. I don’t like that it is either fixed mount or really shitty standalone. The expansion is offers isn’t really enough for me to be accepting of its main gimmick. The one caveat I’ll say is that if all you want is a hydration sleeve that can be more inextremis, then they are very affordable and quite serviceable.
@jonathangarza48444 жыл бұрын
@David Bennett The problem with mounted packs is that you have to remove your whole PC in order to access it, or you have to bother your buddy to get your stuff while you stand there doing some weird half-squat while he digs around your bag. In my opinion, First Spear seems to be the best option for removable/mounted pack, at the moment.
