Crying In A Go Kart?

Days like this bring me to tears. I think a tandem kayak might be in our future! We just need land on the water so we can have boats and a go kart track lol.

Man this trip really has been Abbie living her best life. She gets to see her people, make new people her people, eat cookies, shred magazines, get live personal concerts, go on wild adventures with Dad, and now riding in fast go karts? Shes gotten to do literally all her favourite things and isnt that all anyone wants to do? So jealous of you right now, Abbie!

I'm soooo proud of Abbie. She was so apprehensive but she trusted her dad and pushed through. Even in the paddle boat she was holding onto her vest for security, she had no seat belt or backrest and she did so great!!!

Abbie has come such a long way. The improvement I see in her anxiety is profound. Completely new environments and she rocks it. Getting in to the paddle boat no problem and walking up the dock unassisted. I am so proud of your girl and her growth

I wish more parents were like you and would just live their lives and give their children various experiences they wouldn’t otherwise get. Having Autism doesn’t stop young ones from wanting to experience life! They just experience it in different ways and that is okay. I can only imagine the pure joy in which they view life through their eyes. As a retired special Ed teacher who worked primarily with autism kids for years, I love that you allow Abbie to experience so many different fun things! A lot of parents are afraid and so are the kids and I do understand that However, allowing them to do things teaches them not to be afraid and that through scary things, they can find loads of beauty in this world. . Even if things are hard, there are so many rewards that go along with it even when it’s hard! Abbie just really seems to be in her element traveling and it’s great to see that!!! You guys have always done such a great job with her and it’s a beautiful thing to see!❤❤❤

I have watched this video at least 4 times seeing the joy on her face made my day. My daughter is a month older than Abbie, and seeing Abbie doing this I have hope. My daughter has ASD with very little words. Also your video about vacation is true. Special needs family never go on vacation together. If we could afford the autism on the sea vacation I would prepare her for it. Thank you for all you show us.

Way to go Abbie, trust in her dad helped overcome her hesitation on getting in the peddle boat. Passenger Princess while dad did all the peddling, main thing is she enjoyed her self. I'm a long-time subscriber and self-diagnosed autistic 48-year-old female. I have to watch all videos chronologically and am currently somewhere in 2022, but I had to jump forward to the present to say this and hope it has a better chance of being seen/read by any of you. I share ALL of Abbie's sitting/lounging habits (legs crossed/tucked/twined, etc). I think she may "sprawl" more in sleep, whereas I'm forever a side sleeper, and I've had 3 children, so not everything is equal, but I think you should be aware that these things have manifested in a pinched sciatic nerve, that began in my mid 20's. Since Abbie is non-verbal, pain that is already difficult to explain would obviously be almost impossible for you to detect in her. It's just something I thought you should be aware of/keep in mind, and maybe ask her doctors to check for; if she shows any signs of leg pain in the future. Keep being awesome!
