Saw them Friday night. They didn’t play this song so thanks for capturing. What a show it was!

If only people could listen respectfully, quietly internalizing the music, instead of having to yelp like baboons.

It would have made for a better recording if the crowd were silent but I think there was something special about the atmosphere when the audience did react! Julian was on fire and definitely fed off the energy

@@bubbapwns13 It would have made for a better recording and a better experience for those who were there to hear the group, not poorly behaved audience members. For adults, it should be--and once was--possible to fully enjoy a concert without having to loudly react at everything that moves them. Express yourself at the end of the tune; during the tune: STFU.

Because you've never been to his concert. His playing made us to behave like yelping baboons.

@@우르르르르부르르르 In fact I have seen him in concert. Being an adult, I didn't yelp once. Nor did the friend who came with me. As I recall, the entire audience was well-behaved.

It is very odd. Perhaps it's because people were cooped-up for the first 2 years of COVID, or maybe it's because cannabis is legal in Canada now, but I experienced the exact same thing when I saw Julian in Vancouver last Summer (2022). As a 50-something jazz enthusiast, for the past 40 years or so, I had been used to sitting and quietly enjoying the music while still applauding enthusiastically after everyone's respective solos and at the end of each song. It was a little unnerving at Julian's event to hear a LOT of people "whooping-and-hollering" regularly...during every song....whether someone was soloing or not. I'm all for enthusiasm and expressing oneself, but I found it a little much for a Jazz concert.
