Crying Parrot Sounds Like a Small Child (Part 2)

Nico, the famous crying parrot, is back to her old tricks of sobbing for attention.
The clip, filmed in Belleville, Michigan on July 15, shows the moment her owner Mark Rosenthal asks why she’s crying. Incredibly, she seemingly answers with the words, "I’m a good bird" through her sobbing.
“You are a good boy! But really you’re a girl!” Mark tells Nico.
Mark runs the non-profit organisation Animal Magic, Inc., one of the largest exotic rescue centres in the US.

It's amazing the visceral response humans have to the sound of a sobbing child. Nico sounds just like a crying baby, but she's actually not in any distress, but I can't help but be like "What's wrong? Don't cry baby! We love you!" This shows how smart she is. Obviously she's been around babies, and noticed that when they cry they get attention. And it works for her too!

When i was about 1 year old my father brought such an amazonas parrot. He copied how i laughed, cried and how my grandmother sweared. He kept doing that every day. Neighbours called the police because they thought i was abused.

I find myself having a frowny face as i listen to the bird cry like a baby.. i only noticed when i saw my reflection in the phone.. its completely subconscious reaction to it.. i have a 2 year old toddler boy so yeah im used to hearing toddlers crying.
