I know that I'm in the minority here, but I can watch NASCAR road course races all day long. Montoya and Ambrose were two of the best road course racers NASCAR ever saw, and both of these guys won at this track in stock cars. I can't help but think that if JPM had shown the patience he displayed in his last few years of NASCAR, he would have done even better in Formula 1, while I remember how tough Ambrose made it for AJ Allmendinger without wrecking him. Those were two of the best outsider drivers ever to win in NASCAR.

Oh hell yeah dude, this is some great stuff. The limitations of the stock cars add to the spectacle and entertainment value of these races, as well as just further show how talented these two are.

I think they made a great decision in adding more road courses, 1.5 mile ovals are less interesting, road courses challenge the driver and equalize the field...short tracks and road courses plus Darlington are my favorite NASCAR tracks.

@@polycube868 to be honest America has so many good road courses, I imagine someday getting a dirt road course, the races in there would be nuts

I know a lot of the Aussie fans have a problem with Ambrose but from my view it is a thing of beauty watching Ambrose pick apart they guy in front of him on a road coarse. He took a lot of these guy's to school who were already good road coarse racers. He schooled Montoya here pretty good and took apart Keselowski more times than Brad cares to remember I'm sure.

Another thing that was common was guys going between the rails and getting decapitated. Sir Jackie Stewart summed it up better than anyone: "Back then racing was dangerous and sex was safe."
