Cryo Chamber ( AIO ) on HP Omen 45L - IT WORK

My 45L just got shipped I’m super happy to have gotten it at a great price with the recent sales. It will have 3060ti , i7 and 32gb ram. I think it will continue to be one of the best prebuilts because it will be very easy to upgrade the specs later on. I also think omen brand has some of the best looks on any of the machines. My 2018 omen 15 laptop has been used and abused thus far and shows no problems very exited to get the upgrade though!

Congrats. I also think the HP omen design is great. Not too flashy, but still a gaming computer. However I like the hardware in them. PSU = Cooler Master RAM = HyperX fury Motherboard = HP Graphic card = Nvidia OEM HP Omen RTX cards SSD = WD Black HDD = Seagate Barracuda Good hardware from HP and other known brands for PC builds. That for me make HP reliable, good and the design on top of that = one of ( if not the ) best Prebuilt gaming computers to get.

Thanks for the video. I have the 45L and intermittently I hear a slight click come from the CryoChamber. Is this something I should be concerned about? Otherwise, computer runs great.

Id switch the graphics cards, put the 3080 in the 45L.

@@carlo1132 That would be your choise. My 45L with 3070 Ti, is great. My (old 30L ) Now Corsair is now great too. So I simply got 2 great computers by swapping case on my 30L and buy new fans and GPU holder.

Question about your 30L because I have the same system, how warm does your 5800x get, idle and under load? Mine will sit 45-50C idle, and up to 85 under full load

@@Neonownz I will need to look on my old vids. But now I swapped case on my 30L, and temps are really nice and cool. However, the GPU temps was my problem, not the CPU temps.

@@mr.k885 My GPU (rtx 3060ti) hotspot temp gets up to 104C on some games, so I think I may need to do a case swap as well

How's the fan noise in standard load (word processing, KZbin, etc. for example)?

Very low. I dont even notice the fans when I run it on idle. Just when I blow it out on heavy game its noisy. Mostly due to to the AIO.

I have the 45L and even under a heavy load the PC is quiet as a church mouse.

Do you think the guts of the 30L can be swapped into the 45L, specifically the AIO. If I did the swap I would need 2 more front fans and they are expensive coolermaster fans. Is the motherboard in the 45L a Micro ATX or full ATX. I am very familar with HP computers, servers and workstations, so I can source parts, ect. My Omen X is one of my favorite builds, I have another Omen X in the box, it was 600 bucks just for the case went it first came out, but I picked it up for alot less.

swapping a 30L to a 45L case isnt that easy. The single AIO do not have long enough tubes to go in the Cryo chamber. HP Omen 25L, 30L, 40L and 45L all use micro ATX motherboards. Hence I bougt a new case " corsair " and could fit the AIO, and Corsair fans.

I have a 30L right now and im looking to move it into a 45L case. My only question would be if the 120AIO that comes stock with the 30L would be compatible with the 45L case.

Hi. I think the 45L case come with an emty chamber. But I wonder if the pipes from the CPU to the radiator is too short for the Cryo chamber in the 45L. So I dont dare to say it will work. I think you need a new AIO for change to the 45L. That would be my guess. I went for the Corsair 5000D Airflow case, as I wanted much better cooling for my GPU. Than the AIO from my 30L fitted easy. Please let me know what you do and how it work out 🙂

if the top of the 30l would have a gridplate more heat would already escape right?

The top of the 30L was tiny. As on 1 side was short because of USB ports and power button and other side was the AIO. = little air going out on top. ( or coming in ). The 92mm exhaust fan coulden't do the job for 3070 card and up. Honestly Im not sure if 3060 ti would make a difference either. And only 1 intake fan. it got hot over time, but I had the 3080 card, and it was just too big and too hot for the 30L case.

I know I am late but matx DOES fit in the 45l, it is designed to use off the shelf parts so in theory the AIO should work I believe

hahahaha. I think the 45L look good. And it is a very good case. But my Corsair 5000D airflow is also a very good case. The 45L cool down the CPU best ( because of the Cryo chamber ). But the corsair cool down my GPU best ( due to the very good airflow ).

The AIO in the Cryo Chamber work good. Because its separated from the PC in the Cryo Chamber its cooler as it not get heat from CPU, RAM and GPU. I tested with 2 computers and there was a clear difference. If you disagree, it's OK. Have a great day.

@@mr.k885 I have an older PC with the internal AIO and you are right, there is a whole lot of difference in cooling. The older PC is a lot warmer inside the case, and my 45L almost feels like it is cooled with an AC unit.
