With the cryo surgery, is just the tumor frozen or is there a standard area surrounding it also frozen as well? Additionally, when tumors are excised, they go to pathology for further and in some cases find more advanced findings than biopsy revealed. Is there a standard adjuvant therapy applied or based on biopsy pathology report? Thank you.

Why MSK Cc. Refused to give me acroablation of the fact that my tumor was close to my areola and nipple. I have DCIS stage 0” grade2. Intermediate cells. They forcing me on lumpectomy which I don’t want no preserving my nipple. Can you suggest what other option and treatment are available.

Who did you see at MSK? What did you end up doing? I was diagnosed with stage 1, MSK said lumpectomy but did not know to ask about cryoablation
