"While playing in a multitude of roleplaying settings, from Planescape, Ravenloft to Forgotten Realms and Dark Sun I always responded to the idea of fallen empires with excitement. There is something about the passage of time, and the exploration of the past that is fascinating. To uncover relics forgotten, to awaken slumbering gods, or loot golden coins with stamps in undecipherable languages. I created this mix with fallen empires in mind, join me in it's twists and turns and let the atmosphere coat your sensory organs for a little while, perhaps in your minds eye they will reveal themselves - Simon/Atrium Carceri"

I don't find this particular castle "Gothic," at all. It doesn't suit the music or the mood.
@artybluegirl
@artybluegirl 3 жыл бұрын
@@ericspencer8093 Torre de Belém isn't a stereotypical gothic style nor is it a castle at all. It's a tower, actually, and is a Portuguese specific kind of late gothic, why it won't look "gothic" to you like you might find throughout Europe. The tower finished in the late 1500's was a fort and a prison first, but also a place by which ships were set to sail downriver and to the sea heading for the 'New World'.

After my neighbour died, we looked after his house until his family (who lived some distance away) could make arrangements. One night, I went in to draw the curtains and turn the lights off...and when that was done, I just stayed there in silence, listening. I lasted about ten minutes before I spooked myself out too much and had to rush for the light switch.

That was easily my favourite location from the early game if not the game as a whole. The moody atmosphere, the sprawling layout with secrets, shortcuts, illusory walls and places to explore all over the place was so fascinating compared to the more linear areas. The track Lost Here by ProtoU always reminds me of Dark Souls II as well for some reason, but that may just be that I was really into the game around the time that album released.

Oh great, the _Torre_ _de_ _Belém_ fort in Lisbon, Portugal!!! Sitting on the right bank of the Tagus river, it gets surrounded by water during high tide. Fact is, this is one of Portugal's first military buildings to be built no longer as a Medieval castle, but in the modern spirit of the Italian forts. It's shaped to resemble the bow of a ship, and it was gunned as so, covering the river from vessels arriving from the Atlantic. Iconic Portuguese masterpice, in a unique architecture style called _Manuelino_ , in honor of King D. Manuel I, and celebrating Portugal's zenith as an overseas Empire.

But that’s me in a. Nutshell and my boyfriend doesn’t care as Well he doesn’t care I’m Into weird shit as well considering he smokes medical weed for his back pain doesn’t bother me love my horror music allways will

Once, the Lord of Light banished Dark, and all that stemmed from humanity. And men assumed a fleeting form. These are the roots of our world. Men are props on the stage of life, and no matter how tender, how exquisite... A lie will remain a lie! - Aldia, Scholar of the First Sin

From above I have full view of the beautiful structure. I gracefully glide down, landing on the roof of the main keep. I admire the view, getting comfortable from my purch, the claws of all 4 talons clicking as I give that dashing smile, tapping them on the stone floor. *Music Begins* When the hatch, pops open. Something begins climbing out. Now aproaching me, is a evil looking, hideous, ugly, Ad!
