So I saw this game on Steam and its been on my wishlist ever since I read this Steam review by SuperSnackBros. I'm going to leave it here just to help highlight an example of some of the insane stuff you can get during the 20 questions item in a box bit. Cryptmaster: "Oh, what's in this chest? It looks scrumptious!" > COOKIE "No, it's not a cookie." > LOOK "This thing is round, very round indeed." > COOKIE "I told you already, it isn't a cookie." > COLOR "It's orange, disarmingly so!" > COOKIE "Stop repeating yourself! I've already told you that it isn't a cookie!" > GIVEUP "What? How can you give up? It's something round and scrumptious and orange! It's an orange!" > ORANGE "Of course it's an orange! I just told you it was an orange! No, you don't get any letters!"

@@sdsdfdu4437 Mandy said that he wanted to do a series on time-travel FPS, one after the other, presumably including Darkest of Days and Singularity. But after TimeShift he had to throw the ending forward, and then the Homeworld 3 campaign hit him on the head with a lagermouth bass, so everything's still in a bit of a tizzy right now. We'll probably get back on-track after he returns from Billy and Boo's wedding up in Montréal.

"You can't remember how it feels to be warm" That, coupled with the music that plays immediately after, really makes this a great melancholy scene. After dropping that depressing ass quote, the music slowly creeps in and you're left with nothing but your own thoughts and a strange feeling of emptiness. The atmosphere and tone of this game is great.

Mainly mid 40+ year olds who are today's Wordle champions and yesteryears Monsatos of Facebook Farmville. I’ve been watching your videos for just over two years now. You legitimately help me sleep better. I always fall asleep to your videos now and you have inadvertently improved my health because of it. Thanks mandalore. (P.S. your videos aren’t boring and make me want to sleep you just have a very nice voice)

You know it's gonna be a good day when you see a new Mandalore vid drop. I don't care how many times I see it, the splicing of Willem Dafoe's aquaman scenes into The Lighthouse references will never get old. That bit will always make me chuckle

I remember seeing some stuff about this and assumed it was a quick gimmick game, didn't expect it to be such an expansive experience. The core ideas work very well together (riddles, 20 questions, character progression), glad you put a spotlight on it.

This is such a unique game. The movement reminds me of the old-school handheld Dungeons and Dragons game. Would love to see you do a review of The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age. Specifically, the console version because the handheld is an absolutely different game in literally every way except setting and name.

The art style is so good. Good B&W shows MORE detail than colour, because contrast helps. Watch any of Huston's early work, or Kurosawa, or even Fritz Lang's stuff to see how it should be done. Also, I adore the Voice Acting in this game.

Very Dungeon Keeper. The lovely voice of the narrator is a big carrot encouraging you to play more. And once again thrilled to see Betrayer footage. If you ever make a video on it, may I suggest a joke about how the settlers are burying their firearms centuries before the ATF even exists? Meh. It was one of the first games I bought on Steam so I have fond memories of it, even if it’s mediocre at best.

Who am I? One name you might have for me is the World, or you might call me the Universe, or perhaps God, or perhaps the Truth. I am All, and I am One. So, of course, this also means that I am you. I am the truth of your despair, the inescapable price of your boastfulness. And now, I will bestow upon you the despair you deserve.

I completly agree with the comment on sound design. Especially Relic seemed to be an expert in that department in the old days. The sound scape of Homeworld, Dawn of War and Company of Heroes elevated these game to incredible heights. They really understood that aspect and must have invested allot of time in that. Also the main reason why Sacrifice stands out to me.

You are correct. Sound is as important. Soundtrack, the music, is very imporant. Many games I have, went from "looks good, but I don't really care about it in particular" to "I MUST HAVE IT. NOW." because soundtrack simply kidnapped me and refused to leave before I give in and get the game, carried by the hype of the soundtrack alone. They often end up being some of my favourite games. Now, I know it's very subjective. But I don't think it ever happened with looks of the game. Graphics? no. Artstyle? maybe, but can't recall a specific title now. Graphics get old, soundtrack is forever.
