Crypto Arbitrage Explained for Dummies! (Should you try arbitrage?)

Cryptocurrency arbitrage is a unique trading strategy in the crypto world. There are many types of arbitrage, but on a high level, it involves taking advantage of price differences for the same asset across different markets. For example, Bitcoin may be worth $6000 on a US exchange but is $6200 on an overseas exchange. You could buy a BTC from the US exchange and sell it on the overseas exchange and earn a $200 profit (minus fees). These price differences are due to the market inefficiencies in the young and unregulated crypto world. When utilizing this strategy, it's important to understand where the opportunities are, what the risks/tradeoffs are, and other general tips. I have a question. On simple arbitrage example. How I realized profit without transfer coins between exchanges? I meaning, if you keep your open position the price can goes down where price was higher and you're going lose. What would be the next step?

The great capital gains tax paradise The Netherlands ;-) I agree it is quite difficult for most retail traders to take optimal advantage on arbitrage. Another arbitrage not discussed is arbitrage on price difference between the coin and the underlying asset, such as USDT/USD trading pairs (and hope you don't get rekt when there is another Tether FUD).

Let's say (just for an example). 1 BTC in binance is $1000 and in kraken 1 btc value is $1300. So I have to buy/convert 1000 USDT in binance, convert it to 1 BTC, and at the same time I got to buy/convert 1300 USDT in kraken, convert it to 1 BTC. IS it correct?

Hi! Great video, thank you! So before I give up on this newby thought, I'd like to run it past you or anyone who can help. Same exchange triangular: LTC/XRP is $69/26cent, LTC/USDT is $70 and XRP/USDT is .27cent. These are just the listings I can see at first glance, no simultaneous charting. Is their anyway to run this triangle for a profit? As I see it, every time it runs through the LTC/XRP pairing, regardless of direction, the price stoops down into that "market" (pairing) causing me to break even at the end of the rotation. My question really is, what I'm explaining is incorrect and I need to move onto hunting for discrepancies by charting two pairs at once working with "asks" and "bids," right??? Thank you in advance to anyone for their help!

Am I most stupid person in this trading shit. I don't see a way for simple arbitrage trading unless you transfer funds between exchanges(this takes time and too risky). Everybody just gives most simple exam on the planet and continue without explaining it in details. Nobody talks about what price you bought the asset in different exchanges? were the price same the moment you bought them and the gap happened later? Even if I buy and sell it simultaneously on different exchanges how can this result in a profit without knowing the which price you bought it and which price you sell it again to actually complete the trade? Just give the most simple example on the planet and her you know the arbitrage trading. Great Shit.
