Multi-platform Malware. Multi-platform usually means Windows + Android, MacOS + iOS, Linux/Unix + Android&iOS, but you can make it do anything up to your coding ability. You could have one virus that targets windows + android + mac + iphone + linux.... But it makes far more sense to make multiple little viruses instead of one big bad virus. The idea is that you want your virus to be a 𝙨𝙢𝙤𝙡 as possible! You want it to stay hidden, to easily transfer itself over slow and bad internet connections, perhaps replicate itself quickly with ease... Plus, if you have 6 little viruses instead of 1 big one, you can just have a 'scout', really just a 'delivery boy'. Have one file, one 40KB file that doesn't alert AVs, maybe embedded into a jpeg or png that activates when viewed, and once it gets onto your system it invites its 5 friends over! Now you've got a much bigger problem than deleting 1 virus. You've got 6, all doing separate things, 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘴. Have your 'delivery boy' download and run their friends with HTML and Golang, and that's all. Then #2 uses C/C++ to check for/install python, after that it encrypts your files, #3 uses Python and blocks all processes, programs, and network connections that don't benefit the viruses, a complete lockout, #4 then uses CSS and PHP to activate/record cameras and microphones, steal saved passwords, bank info, and saved text files and pictures while #5 is busy digging through the data from all the android phones in your internet network and reporting everything back using Kotlin, meanwhile #6 talks to all 5 of them and checks that itself and 5 friends maintain their integrity, hash and file size stay correct, all are functioning & preforming their tasks correctly, transfers decryption key and infected host data to "our team" ...Or just have all 6 steal and transmit data without making any obvious changes to the system. That's the better route, 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙣𝙤 𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙧 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙞𝙣𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙖, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙖𝙧 𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙤 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙨𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢. I suppose in this context those 6 files could be considered 1 virus, but it wont feel like it while you're trying to combat it...
