Crysis 2 Defibrillator Cutscene

Most immersive, intense cutscene in a game I can think of. How terrible would it feel to hear “Base functions impaired... rerouting primary power systems... please wait...” as it hits the fan and you’re in cardiac arrest

@@daros1542 the Ceph used these spears to enhance the spread of the Manhattan virus. They use *spores* like how a fungus would to attach to people via air travel. The Crystal like *black air* as you phrased it, it’s the spore doing it’s magic and thus killing some of those CELL soldiers that got a bit too close.

The Ceph were most likely primary targets for CELL. They had orders to take down Prophet but if there were aliens then they would ignore that and engage them.

This was a really great game I enjoyed, its story and gameplay was easy to understand unless your young. The ideas behind the game that made it function were probably the best of its time back then and is still a game that is great to play now

its crazy how a suit is the only thing keeping you alive if your out of options what the doctors can help you with if I was dieing from something i will use the crysis suit as my last resort at least you can get up and do stuff

It will continue preserving the wearer's personality so lomg as enough data is present. Problem with Alacatraz as I understand it was that he suffered too much trauma until it began corrupting his memories. The suit cam't cure that hence it took precaution 'to save and load' a preexistimg personality.

This is honestly one of the weirdest contradictions Crysis: Legion sports. According to the book, after the Ceph gunship attack, just about everything in Alcatraz's chest was shredded to ribbons and the book includes his heart, too, to a point Alcatraz even notes the lack of hearing a heartbeat. The suit was powering his cells and bodily functions directly in the stead of a circulatory system, so it's weird that his heart would even need to be restarted.

Yeah, the book and game don’t correlate perfectly, but the book does kinda get Prophet off the hook. Alcatraz was dead going into the suit, so he’s not really telling the story. It’s the suit thinking it’s Alcatraz until the deeper layer Prophet is in comes online.

If you mean the attack before he was in the suit; during the cutscene right before this one Gould explains that the suit has regrown into and around Alcatraz’s internal organs. There could very likely be a replacement “nano heart” that the suit has regrown and does need to be defib’d.

@@FormlessPBnJ True enough, there are artificial heart solutions today that pumps blood without producing a heartbeat so the suit making one of those isn't out of the question. The thing is, in Legion (at least I think, it's been a few months) it's stated the Suit is directly infusing his cells with oxygen and glucose and if it was the suit's heart that had stopped I don't see why it couldn't just... y'know, restart it by itself instead of massaging Alky's chest.

the nanosuit is merging with Alcatraz's body through the wounds. Or it can show the suit working on a vaccine for the the manathan virus.

The suit is isolating the ceph code that creates the Manhattan virus. This essentially speeds up the vaccine process in the middle of the game. And the suit is protecting Alcatraz from the alien spore too.

Can someone explain to me what happened to Alcatraz at the end of c2?

He was just being a body in the suit, like dreaming. You see things but you don't feel like you're in control. Only watching. Nanosuit 2.0 stored prophets memories/consciousness apparently and since Alcatraz is "dead man walking" the suit establishes a connection between prophet as the mind/Alcatraz as the body. Together they are complete. Crysis 1 you play as a soldier with nanosuit called nomad. Crysis 2 you play as a dead body called Alcatraz, but with prophets memories (Like Hargreave in capsule, talking from computers) Crysis 3... You are the nanosuit that THINKS and BELIEVES he's prophet. Play without knowing the story behind it really is convincing too. Hard to believe you aren't prophet. Verdict: prophet and Alcatraz died long ago nanosuit is the impostor but instead of killing everyone actually helps defeat aliens. Maybe because he adores prophet or after alpha ceph gone nothing will stand in its way of dominance over the world? if you've seen Movie called UPGRADE you'll know what I mean. Have peaceful day 👍

The person inside the nanosuit is Alcatraz, a wounded marine that Prophet saved and gave him the suit since he himself was infected with the Manhattan virus so he does in fact have a heart. At the end of crysis 2 Prophet's consciousness which was stored in the suit took over as Alcatraz was pretty much dead, barely kept alive by the suit. The suit itself doesn't operate without a body, but theres nobody "alive" in the suit. Even in crysis 3, it's still Alcatraz's body being operated by Prophet's consciousness within the suit. So just think of it as the suit being a car and the body being the driver.
