I'm playing this again (because I just beat the remaster on Switch ... like twice) and this thing has been kicking my ass for an hour straight. And so I came here to watch this and now I'm like "... oh yeah. I have a cloaking device. Oh yeah. There's a hangar over there." The game makes you think you ought to fight it out in the open, but it's annoying purple plasma balls it fires pretty much puts an end to that.

If I remember correctly, there's a better place to take cover during this fight on the opposite side of the runway. It's like a garage, and it's more isolated and better protected. I also remember taking down the exosuit from inside one of those shipping containers, but the garage was better.

Man on hardest difficulity all the fun gameplay is gone. With the power suit Psycho should be fighting the boss face-on instead of hiding like a rat. At least that how I played it - running and gunning avoiding plasma rays with speed and jumping over cointainers if they block my path of escape since armor mode is useless too slow and too weak and cloak mode is one hit trade off and than camping.

I agree with armor mode, other than when I am falling or an explosion is nearby I never use it. Speed makes you get hit A LOT less and doesnt consume energy whenever youre shot at, so that's a broken mechanism. I've realized that whenever I'm in armor mode and shot at the AI puts it down to 0% immediately rendering it useless. But in my opinion a nanosuit user would have to be smart and tactical, so all that hiding and tactical usage of the suit is the realistic answer, and a feeling of realism is what I find enjoyable, but each to his own 🤷

Also with cloak mode, you need to switch to another suit function before you shoot. Takes practice to get the timing right. What I like to do is switch to speed then immediately back to cloak. This is how it's meant to be used. Easier to execute in Crysis 2 and 3 since you got the button q and e.

This fight sucks. That gun is extremely short range, and there is no visual indicator for its range. I don't even know whether I am hitting it. I see an explosion each time, but turns out it is just the projectile bursting in air. Last time, I fought it from inside a container.
