Quartz is fairly common. Clear/White quartz crystals are worth over $4k a pound. More so if they are the colored variety, like amethyst. Makes me want to go out and find a red clay deposit like this and dig some out for easy money.

Great video - when I was in Brazil - this little local guy on his small scooter went to the mine and brought back SO MANY crystals. He had a little shop, but as I was with people who knew him personally, we got to go to his shop and pick any crystals we wanted, with the mud still on them - like yours - I brought home so many amazing ones, two BIG ones and several gorgeous clear ones - I brought them home with the mud still on them - I too was amazed to be the first person to touch it and see them cleaned. Truly, a very "energetic" experience.

There's a place not too far out from Cloncurry (if u know where the trail is) called Crystal Mountain. (really, probably most of the mountains around it have crystals). The crystals arent massive, but there clear and you can find ones that have blue or are completely blue. Mass amounts of double terminated and interesting pointed crystals. (some of the most unique in Aus).

Remember, people, expensive crystals ARE NOT EASY TO COME ACROSS, otherwise EVERYONE WOULD BE GETTING RICH OFF THEM. Very hard to find expensive natural items. Most likely have to save money up to fly across the world to specific locations for them.
