Handsdown finest metalcore to have come out from Japan. You’ve got to check out their “Into the Great Beyond” and “Devilcry”.for their more melodic side. If you want to see their heaviest and more experimental side, check out “Aeon” and “Disobey”. These two aren’t for the faint of heart though so you’ve been warned.

Devilcry is another great song/video worth checking out, this band is something else! Also if you haven't already, you should check out the Coldrain song 'Mayday' because Ryu from Crystal Lake is on that. Crystal Lake, Crossfaith, and coldrain are like the holy trinity of badass Japanese metalcore bands with varying levels of brutality and a range of vocal styles. Check out Mayday, it's badass and Ryu's verse on it is even more badass

The show is filmed in the goddamn snow! 🥶 I know Alan is currently away but maybe check them out live on stream instead to see if you like them and want those live tickets? Anyway nice reaction! I do love this song 🤘 A lot of their music is a bit too heavy on heavy for me. Though with some of the very recent bands I have come across maybe it’s time to give Crystal Lake another chance to see if other songs has enough contrast to stand out to me lol

Seen them live in 2019... Imo Crossfaith is currently more focused on providing fun experience in big halls for more mainstream audience. When you go to Crystal Lake live - you will see a smaller number of people, but most of them will be serious hardcore/metalcore fans, and better be prepared for a lot of brutal moshing and tons of people flying above your head.

Ryo is one of the best vocalists in metal right now. I've been into these guys since 2014 when they released their Cubes EP, if you want some older stuff with this vocalist check out Ups&Downs, Rollin' (yes it's a cover of the Limp Bizkit track, and it's incredible) or maybe Matrix or Omega. Everyone is going to suggest jumping straight into Aeon or Disobey but I really think you should check some of their earlier stuff first and get a taste for their sound and how they work and then work up to Aeon and Disobey, both of which are Crystal Lake at their most experimental and just batshit brutal levels of heavy.

Yesh finally a Crystal Lake reaction! This man Ryo is already a legend, he's been in many collaborations with many western bands and friends from Japan like Crossfaith, Coldrain even SiM I think? Also Dexcore.. I also heard their drummer came from Nocturnal Bloodlust, not 100% sure.. Hope "aeon" and "circle" is next, like all these MVs from them 🤟🎸🎌 To be honest though, I still prefer Crossfaith because I'm a big fan of electronic core and industrial. Is just that Crystal Lake has a very, very good production team and he is a great fry screamer.
