She's a smart woman. I feel bad for people with meth addiction. I mean, I tried meth and it feels wonderful. I can see how people easily get addicted too. I hope she manages to find a more permanent space for her to live. Just having some privacy is such an important thing. I can empathize with her that the guy who can offer her a place has an unhealthy obsession with her. So, he might use that as some kind of leverage and she may just have to go there to shower and see the daughter and whatnot. It's not easy. It might not be the worst idea to go home. She's only 51. Get clean. Take care of her parents as a part of the process. Live outside addiction and herself and care for others. (not saying she doesn't care for anyone, she is a mother). Home will be boring for a while (compared to meth highs and street hustles) but as addiction goes, smaller things like home-cooking, trips to the cinema, walks in the park, can make you happy again. Being addicted means you aren't responding to real-life events with non-drug-induced emotions. But take the drugs away and you can start feeling life again. The good and the bad.

I know this comment is a year later after this video came out (I just came upon it), but I have to say that, from what I get from what she said, her rich daughter either doesn't know her mom is homeless or the "extent" of it...basically because she doesn't want to bother or upset her daughter. Her son "kinda" knows more but I'm sure she's not really told him the real life she is leading. A lot of women don't want to "bother" their kids, as they now are grown and have their own lives, or they may be a bit embarrassed they are in the predicament they are in. It makes a difference if you were taken care of by your mom, or someone else took care of you during childhood...if either one of the kids were "the pregnancy" she had when she told the story of being 17 and a rock groupie and pregnant, I doubt the child was raised by her (probably by a relative, if she kept the child). She DOES get social security disability, and I think she's only being a go-between for drugs because it pays for her own drug habit...especially in a lower-class neighborhood like where she lives, many people can and do live (altho modestly) on social security disability just fine. Just saying, I don't think it's really bad with her, because if it was, she would have been contacting her children, especially the rich daughter. I think she's embarrassed by her circumstances and doesn't want them to know. I agree with others that it's sad that at age 51 and with her intelligence, that she is where she is in life...but it's all about the drugs, sadly.

How did she raise her son while touring with all those bands and doing all the backstage partying? I'm not doubting her story im just trying to figure some things out. She’s probably a nice lady, who knows. I’m wondering the whole time, why’s she partying while pregnant? I’m not judging, everyone makes their life choices, but we have to live with them. This is being glamorized in just the comments on here. The girls want her to write her life story, the guys picture her partying with bands of the day, but look at her now. She’s 51 and looks way older, doesn’t seem to have a relationship with her kids, and still lives for the moment, homeless. I hope she was sharing her life of drugs and wild sex life, to warn young girls to not go on the same reckless path as hers. It goes nowhere. That’s all she has to show for in her 51 years on earth. I know comments come off rude or misinterpreted sometimes, so don’t think that I’m tearing her down, if anything, I think she’s worth more in this life if she would move on from being an 18 yr old groupie. My opinion of course.

She was about 10 years older than me, stil slightly attractive, and somewhat mentally impaired, she was living in disabled housing and had some sort of caretaker. She was very enthusiastic about telling me stories about people like Jackson Browne and bands like Foghat.
