Thank you for all the details! Surprising at times -- great report as always. My all time favorite cruise ship meal was at Silk Road years ago so I am really looking forward to Umi Uma when I cuisse on Serenity next year. Much anticipation for Tastes, as well!

Short answer, no, but most are dressed nicely. Main dining would be dressy casual, and Tastes is definitely casual. Umi Uma, dressy casual, Osteria would be the dressiest, IMO.

How are the onboard expenses set up. I've cruised with a few different cruise lines but never crystal.

Basically, like all other cruise lines. You register a credit card at reception to cover onboard expenses such as spa or shore excursions.

@@CruiseReport your comments were perfectly fine. Your review style is classier than the other but that doesn't mean yours is better. I think both are excellent and helpful. I hate people who like to walk on pins and needles and require everyone else to do the same. Silly! Keep up the honest reviews.

How do you review when you order so much junk food?Your food was so unhealthy.You may skip breakfast but you make up with it with heavy caloric foods.Admitting you don't like fish or seafood disqualifies your reviews.I could do a better job.

Some cultures are not known for sophisticated food palates, nothing wrong with that, no culture can be best at everything. So personally I see some limitations with food reviews from most Americans (or Brits, some of the top cruise channels are by Brits). Along the same line, ultra luxury cruises (whose passenger base is mostly American) often leave some of us from more food-discerning cultures wanting more.
