Never thought E minor could sound so surprising and fresh !!!! In context it sounds like an alien and strange harmony but it's just old E minor.
@y0anski4 жыл бұрын
SingHouse Yeah minor 7 or even minor 11 sounds pretty good for a minor Tonic. Normaly in Classical Music is minor 7/5-. In this case for Dm, the H Note from Em7 makes it super cool and later the Eb from Eb7+...
@mjfaak4 жыл бұрын
Mhhh I think the Key of the song is D minor not E minor. You can see the final D# as a modulation / tritone substitution I think
@y0anski4 жыл бұрын
Yeah the key of the Song is Dm, just saying Em7 and Eb7+ sound out of key because of the H and Eb notes, different from the D minor scale
@YechielCohen2 жыл бұрын
Em7 After Bb7+ is sort of an alien. However the Eb7+ is a natural resolution to the Bb7+ and the Em is only a slight twist towards the Eb. My interpretation is that this Em + Eb serves the singer role on top of it to emphasize the peak of her complaints or as a final screaming

Enharmonics are incorrect and so is the first half of the progression. The G goes straight to the C#. Yes it’s a tri-tone, no that C# is not a passing note. The voicing from the Emin7 goes to an Ebmaj7, not whatever notes you used in your visualisation
@Strange_Traveller Жыл бұрын
Oh so that’s how I should play it. Luckily I have a Hammond organ that makes it sound li the real song (I guess). So it should sound good.
