You can put red over green and vice versa btw, that's how I did my hair without bleaching it, you just have to make sure the green or red to begin with is light enough 😊

You run the risk of both colors blending though. You don't have to bleach your hair BUT a color remover should be used before applying any new color.

If you end up really not liking the blue just add yellow to get green again. I LITERALLY did what you did last time because my hair was blue(pretty dark) and I added yellow now I have a perfect green 🎉🎉🎉 Added: My hair was blue because the green hair dye I bought was shit and it went blue blue and I hated it so I added yellow 😂 Also if you want it darker just put the blue hair dye you want, on top of the hair you have currently. It’s blue on blue so it’ll be really deep. If you want it even deeper, add a TINY bit of purple but a really small piece or it’ll go so dark or more purple than blue since your hair is currently already a hood blue base colour

I love the idea of you cutting a bob. I also think a asymmatric bob would look very cool on you! To the color „problem“, take a dark blue and put a little bit of black semi permanent colour in the mixture. This should darken the colour a little bit. ✌🏻

A slight green base is actually nice for deeper semi permanent reds. 😅 They often (not always!) Have a strong pink undertone and end up pink in a few washes. The green underneath would have kept it red a lot longer

If you want the darker blue I’d recommend to add some drops of black semi permanent dye along with some purple. The adore hair dye or kiss tintation ones work amazing. You look pretty either way.

i put copper red over my faded neon green hair (darker than your original shade) to fill the hair before going back to brunette and it worked!! you just need to make sure you choose a darker red color to put over, it’ll cover the green

If you want dark blue, you gotta add more purple, and REALLY saturate the hair. Trying to squeeze the roots down to the ends will always end up more faint in color. You should basically have a blob of color and see no hair through! 😊

Honestly I think if you just dye it again with that mixture the base you have will make its easier to make it blue. Since it's not super green anymore the blue doesn't have to cancel anything out. You could also add a couple drops of black like others are saying and really get it deep blue. I like adding a lil Transylvania from AF since it fades pretty well in terms of black. P.S. you look so good!! I have green rn after having blue for a long time and I know I'll have to go backwards to get anywhere too 😅 I love my green though!

Honestly it looks super pretty as it is! To darken it maybe you could just add a small amount of purple to the original blue mixture and apply it again 😄 and even blue brows might look cool if you get bored of the blonde ones! 💙💙💙

Lindy, have you heard of Phloxie's Dyestuff on YT? They do a *bunch* of hair dye swatches on many different shades of hair and I know their newer videos include a green hair dye swatch, and green actually takes to red very well! As for your current color if the lime crime + adore doesn't work after applying it again, maybe experiment with adding some darker purple dye to get a royal blue

I've recently did on my hair an exact thing that you want to achieve - turned greenish blue into a blue blue (with purple undertones instead of green ones). I just put a diluted purple dye (a cold shade of purple, a blue-purple) on my hair. Think of it as color correcting blonde hair, but you need to adjust the amount of purple pigment (add more than on blonde hair obviously) - it must me enough to change the shade, but not too much, so that your hair don't turn out very dark.

you need a pinky purple dye to cancel out the green. pink cancels green on the wheel. maybe try to add a light pink over it and it should turn that pretty blue that you want.

Use Manic panic ultra violet over top!!! It will fade out to a super pretty silver/blue after a couple washes. It’s magic!!! Mix with diluter or conditioner if you don’t want it to get too dark ❤❤

For your hair: idk how long it'll last, but wait a least a couple washes before dying it again to give it a chance to lighten up. Now that your base colour is blue we can add that first colour back on, or some purple to warm up the whole colour. However, adding more dye could make your hair darker/not work properly because there's too much dye already and the new dye won't penetrate the hair. Which is why it's better to try and wash out as much of the colour as possible.

From a hairstylist, you need to put purple into the blue mix, periwinkle by adore is way to light to cancel the green, you need a strong purple, so when you end up with a mix that’s like an indigo color (the kind of blue that looks like purple but when you put purple next to it you realize it’s still blue) that’s the right color. I’ve had teal/aquamarine hair for over two years and when I want it to look like a true blue I add a little bit of a strong purple to Adore’s Aquamarine :)

Add pink (like flamingo pink from Directions), but do a teststrand. And be prepared, because the lighter areas will be more purple, the darker parts will still be darker and more blue.

You can add a diluted pink to get the colour you originally wanted. Or something closer to it. It might not turn out completely brilliant, because of the residual yellow from the previous green. But honestly, the green was so pale already and the yellow portion of it was even tinier, that I think it won't even matter or at least not much. Yes, the blue yo have now still is onthe yellowish blue side. Putting a little b8t of pink over it will fix it. Also, as someone else said it's all a matter of mixing ratios and expected outcome. You probably could have put a darker intense red over your existing green and it would still have shown up red. But may be just a little more muted red with brownish hue in it. It depends on how.much of the pigment is still left in the hair and if you are putt9ng sylubstantially more pigment over it's it will still show up as roughly the color you are putting over. Of course the brightest most artificial looking most intense results will be achieved on pale yellow or almost white hair without any other pigment in it' and using a pure primary or secondary color. So in mixing pigments that would be magenta, yellow, cyan or a mix of two of those. Or, if you are old-school, you might have learned red, yellow, blue as the primary colors. It is close to magenta, yellow, cyan, but MYC yields more brilliant colors in mixing. Anytime you introduce the third of the three primary colors, it will lead to a percentage of brown or grey. The resulting color. But if it is only a tiny bit, it won't be too apparent or the eye might not register it at all. Again, depending on theixing ratios. Let's make a simplified example: Let's say an equal mix of yellow, red and blue made a brownish grey. So, if you have 33 pigments yellow, 33 pigments blue, 33 pigments red, that brownish grey is what you get. Now eventide you create a mix of the three the resulting color will have a little.bit og that grayish brown in it. But a mix of 5 yellow, 33 red and 61 blue will not mean you get brown. It will mean you get a colour that is mainly blue. Since the next most prominent part it red, it will be somewhere between a red-tone blue (cool blue) and a blueish purple. The tiny bit of yellow won't turn the while thing brown or grey. It will just ever so slightly mute the color,.make it less garish or glowing. But it will.probably still fully register as a blueish purple, not necessarily a dirty purple. Now, the more you increase the yellow portion, the "dirtier" your blueish purple will get. Until it nears a greyish taupe color. Thenn if you still keep aping up the yellow, to, let's say 64 yellow, 30 blue, 16 red, you will have? The yellow and the blue make a yellowish green, the red will add "dirt". So you will end up with a muted, dirty yellow green. In my examples I have made the portions sum up to 99 or 100 to keep it simple and represent 109% of the color result. In reality, you have to also think about "clear" in the mix: some colors have more clear in them amd less pigment (they will show up transparent), some will be more fully pigmented. This is the question of color saturation and depth. Basically it's is not only about how the portion of each primary color is in your mix, it is also about how much pigment is deposited in general. And when mixing colors, you might need much more color of a transparent formula, than of a intensely pigmented one on order to show up the same. All of that said: a diluted mix of a pink, maybe even a neon pink, should get you close to your desired blue shade. Don't use red, because most red dies are too much on the yellowish side, eben if they are called pure red. Pink is cooler and lacks any yellow, so you'll get a better result with pink. I'd suggest mixing conditioner and neon pink 3 to 1 and start with that. Or maybe even 4:1 or 5:1. And see where it gets you. You can always go in a second time amd deposit more pink.

I used to have a really similar green colour and was growing out my hair after shaving it of, I cut it back to a bob like three times. It is currently below my chest in length and only the bottom half is green, top half is natural colour so I do not need to do my roots all the time. But seening that green bob made me consider cutting it short again

For the brows just get a brow gel with a spoolie! That’s how I did my bleached brows I had them for a while too when I didn’t feel the “no brow” look it would just use the brow gel and bam! Eyebrows again 😊

Ok, so I dye my hair with this exact blue dye and I had the same problem. Kind of. I never fully bleached my hair, so the yellow of my hair would shift the blue to a more greener hue. Honestly, I know this sounds weird, but it works for me, just dye your hair again with the same blue, maybe add a bit more of the adore color to make it a bit darker. The blue going over a teal instead of over a green will make the tone truer to what it shows on the bottle.

the adore is a very strong dye. I would just put the adore over what you’ve got. Ignore the Lime Crime, just put the Adore on it and that will cover it up and deepen it

If you want blueer hair, add pink or magenta to it. Don't bother with adding purple because purple is blue + pink and you probably don't want to add blue to your hair. But please do a test strand first, to know what shade of pink to go for. Worst case scenario though, you gonna get purple hair and then it fades out to blue. Lots of love ❤️❤️❤️

If u want darker blue, you should change the blue dye you use, I have dyed mi hair blue having another colors on my head and it worked bc the dye I used was pigmented enough. The brand I use is called RBL but I don't think they sell it on the Netherlands

Just put the same dye in again first. Can’t say how many times I just needed to do it twice to get the vibrancy and color I wanted. Worked every time. Then if that fails yea try some purplesss but I feel like it should work.
