You do have a BEAUTIFUL new home. Nothing personal, but I think this style of design with such a open floor plan and high ceilings lacks the cozy and character factor. It will be interesting to see how these types of homes are viewed, or are still popular in around 20, 30 years. Many, well maintained homes today, that were built 100 years ago never go out of style, because their architectural designs and craftsmanship are so much more superior. You have decorated it BEAUTIFULLY for Christmas though, and I wish nothing but the best for you and your lovely family this holiday season in your brand new home. 🎄

Walmart has a nice clay for hanging things but also said you can use it to attach things to counters & tables so little ones don't knock it over. I used it this year to attach candy canes to my window panes. I live in Alaska and it's been 20 and the candy canes have stuck to the window panes better than anything I have ever used & the best thing is it will not damage your surfaces.

Hey Crystal! Just a WONDERFUL job! I love everything! I know you and you will be tweeting things, but I'm loving it! I know some people have suggested lights on the mantel but I don't know how distracting that would be when you're watching tv. You decorating those shelves reminded me of when you would decorate your kitchen shelves! That was always my favorite part! I think these shelves turned out great but we know when something's a little off and eventually we discover what it is! My opinion, that tree is PERFECT in that space....height, width. It's not Macy's it's your living room and you still want it to feel cozy.

Everything looks GREAT Crystal, as per usual! When you decorate the shelves on each side of your fireplace, does it remind you of the shelves in your old kitchen? The H&H glass houses are adorbs. Hoping your "chicken wire shelf" will make a cameo for Christmas this year in your kitchen.
