In counterstrike, you have limited money to buy your weapons every round, so sometimes you have a "Eco" round where you save your money and don't bye expensive stuff/anything. A "Buy" round is where you go all out and spend everything So when he teases them about how their on an "Eco" and the other team is on a "Buy", he means their going to get owned :P

Arma 2 Combined Operations, they're doing a custom map called CS Cindercity that I would guess is made to imitate CounterStrike, hence the name.

In counter-strike, when you complete objectives or kill opponents, you are given money to purchase weapons and equipment. An eco(nomic) round is where you don't buy anything or get cheap guns to save money to try to get better guns later, and the buy round is obviously where you get the good stuff.

It seems more like a round of Tactical Ops. It was released in 1999 it's like CS but you can carry 3 weapons and terrorist can move the hostages.

In counter-strike when you scrim sometimes you'll save your money for better weapons instead of buying out. so it's an eco round. A buy round is when you buy out and use a lot of your money.

On counter strike, You get money to buy weapons. Eco, means low amounts of money to buy shit guns. Buy means lots of money to buy really good guns. So when he was asking are you on an eco, he was basically saying are you using shit guns or not.
