Since you're doing comparison videos, I'd like to see a side-by-side of the Tyndale Giant Print Personal Size with the Holman Giant Print Personal Size. I'm trying to decide which one to get in KJV.

Thanks for the review, Randy. I've just received the personal size, the exact one you have here. This is my first ever Holman CSB. I love the text block, but the leather has an awful pungent chemical smell to it. It's really bad. I've Googled it, and there are others who report the same. If I'd have known before I wouldn't have purchased, which is a real shame as everything else about it is great. Does your copy have the same issue?

Hi George. Mine doesn't have a smell. Thanks for letting me know. I'm not sure how long it would take to disipate, but if you leave it out of the box for a few days it should be a noticeable difference.

@@BibleBuyingGuide thanks Randy. That's my plan. Am hoping it airs out and the smell just disappears. By what I've read on the internet it has something to do with the tanning process. I really hope it will resolve as aside from this issue the Bible itself is absolutely wonderful

I'm a verse by verse person. If I was going to consider spending over $100 for a Bible, it would have to check off 98% of my boxes. The Wide Margin version is a plus for me because of the readable print size and the space for notes, as well as the better paper quality. However, it ends there - for me. :)

Too much writing in the gutter on the personal sized. The wide margin is perfect for a preaching Bible.
