I bought one of these early this year and it took me a while to read it with sounding like a 3rd grader😂😂 ever couple of words is a number or marking and it messes you up for a little while. I wish schuyler would make one of these bibles

The covers/spine are not my favorite, but that layout is beautiful. I just cannot take verse by verse format! For me it's like reading one loooooooooooooooooooooong run on sentence. It actually makes me a bit panicky. I know that sounds crazy. But these are gorgeous and I love that they have book introductions. I never see that anymore, except for study Bibles.

Well done. I really appreciated this review. Objective treatment of the features, a thorough walk-through of the materials, construction, and presentation with fonts, coloring, and references. I'm not as much of a fan of the real floppy leather covers, more of a leathersoft guy myself, but small issue for me. We just purchased this very Bible for our ministry and look forward to sitting with our people and digging deep in the chains to expose that entire Bible!

God bless you mightily for such a generous software. I first came across it in 2006 and I have been using it till this day. You have truly remained faithful and have been so kind for allowing my account to work from Windows phone to Android and now IPhone. God Bless you.

@Bible Buying Guide, that paper is a lot heavier than 60 gsm as photocopier paper is 80 gsm min that paper looks more like 120 gsm. Though a nice review of original KJV.
@BibleBuyingGuide14 күн бұрын
Thanks! It's really hard for me to tell. It feels thinner than the 100gsm in the Lecturn KJV from Cambridge, but the texture is a lot different, so it could be that's throwing it off for me. It's awesome paper and has more of a watercolor paper feel, similar to cloth.

Oh, man, I didn't know this one existed! I just bought the Macleran. It hasn't even arrived yet. I was concerned about the font size but I figured I would give it a try. I'll know right away when I open it. Something tells me I'm going to have to return it and then save up to get this slightly bigger one. Drat! I wish I had seen this earlier so I could cancel the order. Too late now.

how much bigger is the Cambridge Large Print's text font compared to the CBP handsize text font?
@BibleBuyingGuide17 күн бұрын
Hi. It's one point- 11 vs 10.

Do you recommend getting the Cambridge Large print or the CBP Handsize 180RL Text Bible? I'm stuck between them. The benefits of the CBP are: better leather; perimeter stitching; I can get it in a lovely blue leather and it's red letter. However, the Cambridge has better paper and may have a slightly larger font (some sources have between 10-11pt but the CBP is 10pt). Please may you suggest which one will last longer and will be more readable?
@BibleBuyingGuide17 күн бұрын
Hi. Both are great choices and you can't go wrong with either one. I do prefer the Cambridge font size and paper. The Cambridge print quality is more consistent. I like the Cmnbridge cover, but I like stiffer covers that lie flat. It is paste-down and won't last as long. The CBP gives you more options and the print and paper are good for the price. Plus, you get more tools. Unless you need the larger print and prefer the stiffer cover, I think the CBP is the better option.
@koyeb83216 күн бұрын
@@BibleBuyingGuide hi, thank you for the advice Randy! I’ve ordered the CBP in navy blue ironed calfskin😁. Can’t wait for it to arrive!

I know this is old, but what size font does this have? Even the Thomas Nelson site shows two different fonts. Some places state it is a 9.5 font. Others say it is 10.5 font. Even the boxes online state the two different font sizes. Thank you for your help.
@BibleBuyingGuide18 күн бұрын
Hi Gary. I'll try to check this weekend, but if there are two sizes, I'd go by the smaller size. Their first few Comfort Print Bibles were marked larger than they were. I don't remember if I mentioned it in my video review: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqDYhYCFlLF0prc

Thank you for the review. Does this Allan include the translators notes? My Cameo has the translators alternate renderings in the margins which I find insightful. Does this Allan follow the Longprimer 52, by putting the RSV renderings and "the best manuscript" comments in the margin? I really dislike that about the Longprimer 52.

@@BibleBuyingGuide Thank you for sharing. I completely understand about the KJV. Until the NIV was released in 1978, most people used the KJV (we didn't have all of the options available today).
