@Karlimo I think when people say they miss it, you need to read between the lines a bit and not take it literally. They miss the game, but they miss when the game was center front, when they were younger, the period of time which was more simple and relaxed ( 2000 -2010 ), nobody cared how you dress, people just went to LANs or played at home de_Rats, fy_iceworld and shit like that on publics. It was a different time.

I've seen a lot of people claiming that 1.6 "is harder" or "takes more skill" than CSGO but can somebody explain me why? From what i see on this perspective, spraying is easier (he barely has to adjust his aim on the m4 during a full spray), the models can be distinguished from the background more easily, the grenades can slip through any gap like if they had no width so it is hard to screw up a throw, and eco rounds are much less surprising, so i'm interested in some serious argumentation explaining why CSGO is considered a dumbed down version of 1.6

+Pablo Blo I am a pretty old cs 1.6 and now cs:go player and i can asure you cs:go is more challenging to play. Whan u pointed out is true and some people just cant admit that older NOT ALWAYS equals harder. Also some people cant get over how good of a game cs:go is only see it as "pay to look pretty" game.

NegativeWolf Ye well i didnt put it in the best way. What am i trying to say is that they honestly really improved spray mechanics etc in CS:GO. And that is the main factor in making cs:go better in competetive scene. You don't really have to agree , and i still love 1.6 as one of the first games that got me so hooked, but GO is still an improvement in my opinion

+Patryk Banan The competitive scene in CSGO was dead until the arrival of skins. Once skins came into play the competitive scene grew. Don't fool yourself and think the quality of CSGO is what led to its popularity. It's a Valve manufactured esport because quite frankly it is inferior to CS 1.6 in almost every core mechanic.
