Isnt 13 letter D because argon has a elctronic confiration of 2,8,8 but calicum is 2,8,8,2

The question asked for the electronic configuration for ion . Hence the ion is 2,8,8.

I dont think so because the number of electrons ARE 8. And in B, they changed the protons to 9. They asked for isotopes of X which is 8. The answer is A.
