Sir Im confused. Why did you use the reducing balance method for the depreciation? Why cant you use depreciation at cost? what in the question tells us to calculate the second year's depreciation on the reduced balance?

Depreciation is by default a compounding effect. It’s very unorthodox to stick with the OG cost.

Question 1b can't i just divide 1020 by 30 to get 1/30 and then divide 1020 by 15 then times the answer by 4 to get 4/15 then add the 2 answers to get 714 or do it have to use the fractions?
