I have to tell you after I got my Riverboat...I ended up getting the 12 string...the one I had in the 70s needs an overhaul and after looking around for a while I kept coming back to Mckenzie and Marr....you just can't beat the pricing for what you get... thx for turning me on to them!

Hi... :) Little pieces of diminished are really nice too with melodies. I mean F# A C and Eb ... between your G chords... even though its four different diminished chords they all could be like just one ... I mean without names its just a chord that starts in different places that is four notes that go up 2 frets 3 times and then it repeats just like our triads but they are more linear so a little easier to see... Also to play with your minors and dominants for example we are in G we can try D minor and G7 (dominant) when going to C or E minor and A7 when going to the D...These things we can try when we want to add a surprise or some more flair

THIS is exactly how I would love to be able to play my guitar. I can do the chords and strumming while singing the melody, but I'd really hate to subject a friend to my singing. 😖 There must be something I should be studying that will lead to my being able to do what you're doing. What do I need to learn? When I pick a song (as opposed to strumming), I can recognize certain notes of the chords that are part of the melody. I just can't pick them out in the order to make them the melody. 😢
