Awesome! Have you tried reselling any yet? Because IMO the resell market is what will ultimately determine the long-term fate of CSG and CCG respectively. But I love what they've done and the directions they're taking.

@@RedmondGamer Yeah I have been selling on social media as well as whatnot and they sell. When you show some one the difference between the slabs and the fact that they are tougher graders so POP count will stay lower. Also you sell them at anywhere from 70-80% of a psa slab which at the price point 8,12, and now 15$ a card to CSG you can make more money at a faster turnover rate

@@islandbreaks4763 can you give me examples of cards you’re seeing sell for 70% to 80% of PSA? Every CSG card I’ve seen sells for like 50% of an equivalent PSA grade

@@tavalos719 some of the better rookie cards such as josh allen as example I have been buying raw. Grading with CSG instead of PSA and I was selling close to 70%-80% of value of psa. Allen CSG 10 is around 200-225 and PSA is 270-290. I also buy CSG 10's that have low POP compared to PSA Card because of the high POP. Feel free to DM me on any social media man always down to talk

CSG is climbing the charts with its comc agreement. UD EPackers can transfer its cards 2 comc and have cards graded to CSG through comc. Already had a few Bedards,Boldy which came back a 10.

We sent 50 cards to be graded by CSG and it was an excellent experience regarding, price, turnaround time, grades and overall slab. I will continue to use them moving forward as they gain market share against psa

Glad to hear it! CSG and CCG have been treating me well recently, and their grades are extremely fair by comparison to PSA. I still send in my "investment" level cards to PSA, but those submissions are far fewer these days than before. CSG and CCG are leveling the playing field. Cheers!

Great video.....great informative....I believe PSA gives out 10s to easily.....where as CSG are tougher graders but at least you know that a 9 is a nine and a 10 is a ten ....just my opinion...I don't use anyone else but CSG ...

I totally agree with you about PSA and their 8. I’ve sent four perfect looking cards, even under a loop, and all of them 8s. Would it hurt for them to provide notes with the return, especially at $30 a card?

I'm not a card guy, but I just bought a '67 Clemente in an older CSG holder to eventually make a video with my '67 Clemente Sports Illustrated. It's actually Bing Crosby's personal subscription copy, has his name on the label with a Hollywood address! Crosby was actually part owner of the Pirates. Anyway, it has a tiny QR code on the back. If I scan that, which I've never done (I'm old), will it tell me the sub grades?

As I understand it, if the sub grades weren’t posted on the back of the older cards then they weren’t requested by the grader. Given the history of the card you may be able to contact CSG for additional information. But typically the QR code simply loads the web page with the card scans to help you verify authenticity. QR code functionality differs from vendor to vendor, but I believe that’s what you’ll find with CSG.

@@RedmondGamer Not sure if you saw the part where I'm old. Never scanned a QR code, so you might as well told me to do calculus in Greek. It's only a 6. The '67 Clemente SI newsstand is way rarer and Bing Crosby owned it. You work at PSA?

Thanks! CSG has become the go-to substitution for BSG in my humble opinion. PSA still reigns supreme in terms of price online, but CSG is gaining ground every day it seems. Amazing what a good label can do!

CSG is a legitimate challenger to PSA. But it's going to be a a few years before they come anywhere close to PSA's registry volume. Plus, PSA could always surprise us and "fix" their issues to reestablish their dominance in the market -- and if they're wise that's exactly what they should be working on right now. Otherwise, CSG and CCG are well on their way.

It's a fine label, to be sure! But CSG and CGC are literally the same slab with a different label. They also belong to the same parent company (CCG). So for there to exist such a delta between labels is absolutely BIZARRE. 😄

i think nuanced is the word you were lookin for ha, cgc changed there flip like 5x the blue goes good with a lot of those fantasy type cards n marvel, csg 💪 all i use, all there companies resale was tough in the beggining but they ended up number 1 psa a tough hill to climb but i think they can do it

Yup! PSA is still the clear leader as far as "investment" grading goes, but CSG and CCG have clearly given consumers a viable alternative, and based on the company's roadmap I think they could become a real threat to the PSA market down the road (assuming they can keep the momentum going). PSA doesn't grade on average, they go by lowest flaw on the card. If a card has 8 corners and 9.5 edges, surface, centering it still gets an 8. CSG and BGS will give an 8.5 because the 9.5 edges, surface, and centering gives the overall grade a .5 bump in their eyes

You're right -- I've heard that as well. But this just raises more questions than it answers, since it doesn't account for the hundreds of "imperfect" 10s we've all seen in the wild. For this reason I typically advise collectors to be choosy about any PSA 10s they buy online since not every 10 is a true 10. This is one of the major reasons I feel that companies like CSG and CCG are bringing more value into the "grading" space. I love my PSA cards and PSA is still (IMHO) the obvious choice from an investment standpoint; but this comes with the knowledge that their grading system is flawed by comparison. And some people hold that against PSA. And all of this gives CSG and CCG a competitive advantage going forward. Thanks for the comment!

@@RedmondGamer agree its more specific and nuanced grading, your not taking .5 hits for a miniscule flaw and your not getting an overgraded 10 because the card wasnt really a 9 but wasnt a gem eighther, Even if psa grades accurate it cant be as accurate as a .5 scale but they got the brand and people dont give a shit psa 10 is the big d*ck, The csg gold perfect 10 are awesome tho!!
