Sir the question in which Image(T) =Ker(T) If I take T(x,y)=(x,0) iska trace 1 hoge so trace may or may note be zero. & Take T(x,y,z,t)=(x,-y,0,0) Whose minimal polynomial is m(a)=a(a-1)(a+2) here characteristics is not equal to the minimal polynomial

T(x,y) =(y,0) is fine because matrix associated with them is T=[0 0 \\ 1 0]. Im(T) =(0,1) =Ker(T). Also, you can see T is nilpotent....
