I love your tutorials, Aquilla. You make it easier to understand the why's and how to's. Thank you. Please keep doing them.

Dear Aquilla, I can't thank you and your KZbin presence enough. I honestly must have watched, listened and stop & started your Jan 3, CSM Full Sock with a hung hem no less than 100+x's. That was the video that captured my learning curve. Not to sound creepy, but I can hear your voice in my head as I crank thru the steps. You have a great gift for timing, teaching and voice instruction. I can easily spot your videos now because of your sticker laiden CSM stand, it's your trademark. I really feel like you've taken me from nothing to actually completing several pairs of socks successfully with NO mistakes. I live in Southern CA, which is not exactly the heartland of crafting. I'd all but given up on my unsuccessful attempts on my beautiful Erlbacher CSM and no one to turn to. All the crank ins that I would see on-line were in other states and packing up the CSM seemed a bit much, then I found you! You've divided the videos so nicely into sessions which is fantastic for stopping & starting. I'm looking forward to the next challenges with your tutelage as I see you have lots of video titles to explore. Dare I say, learning the ribber. I hope you will continue with enthusiasm knowing how much you've helped. I do not see a patreon account for you and I would really like to send you back a gift for your generosity and time to help others in their pursuit of the love of knitting. Please let me know how I can make that happen. It would be my pleasure. Genuinely, Esther Cooper esther@estherdesign.com Poway, CA FaceBook: Esther Gormley Cooper

Wow. I never thought about how much tighter the stitches might be using the heel spring. It makes a pretty big difference. I guess the proof is going to be in the way they fit. It will definitely take some getting used to.

I really like being able to watch a fellow left hander. I have one little problem.... I wish that you had a plain table, not so busy as it makes it hard to concentrate on what I want to learn... Just a thought😅

I see your drum has 64 needles, the machine I want to make comes with a variery of drums, whats the difference between them?

I also have a 48, 64, 72 and 80. My 48 cranks DK weight yarns. And my 80 can do lace weight. The diameter of the cylinders are all the same. So spreading the needles across the circumference at different t rates.

Hi -- I'm still a beginner I'm able to create a hung hem sock tube but still haven't been able to complete a heel or toes on the machine. Do you think using a half heel weight instead of the full heel weight would help me ?
@aquilladahun-aleftyknitter Жыл бұрын
I'm fairly new to having the half sized weight. But I think the full sized weight holds the tension better when doing the flat (short row) knitting. So I would say to stick with the full sized until you have that practiced.

You actually were making the heel on the front not the back.
