So it was her connection to a former manager that got her into CSM. I don't think everyone has that same access to tech insiders, so I'd suggest working on building a network on LinkedIn and also going to conferences/meetups to make connections. If that's out of reach, look for online referrals through certain mentorships and network exchanges.

That’s a solid advise. Although I believe she said he merely brought to her attention that this new role, called CSM existed. More importantly, she makes a strong case for companies to make investments in hiring women back into the workforce.
