I got stopped by a Kansas highway patrol one time for 2 miles over the speed limit on my motorcycle. He wrote me a warning ticket. It's a myth to think "I am safe going five over". At least it is down here.

You get what you paid into CPP, and at 60 you get less then 65, also if not self employed, your employer also contributes. Best option in your case, starting saving in TFSA… or you will end up at a poverty level at retirement … health issues also play an important part in our aging process. As I understand the CCP if you don’t take it until 65 or 70 you automatically get more than if you took it earlier. It will help in your case that you are still working. I took my CCP at 60 but I had been working for 40 years as my investment advisor said it was best. The way I look at it it’s better to have more money when you’re younger rather than having a crap load of money coming in but you’re too old to take advantage of it.
