I know it's BigHit branding perfection, but I genuinely believe they understand the importance of their message that they started with the Love Yourself series. They've worked with UNICEF, spoke at the United Nations, and I cannot even imagine the pressure being one of South Korea's largest (non-conglomerate) exports AND the single largest boon to tourism is like for this group! They're estimated to add over $1B (USD) to S.Korea's economy annually. If you think there isn't pressure from the government? You're wrong. So proud of these boys (still, to me.. As a german with many german friends who have east asian roots I have seen them being mistreated because of their heritage. Here in Germany racism against people without dark skin is often not even considered racism at all and thus still grossly normalised among young people as well. The following are the interpretations/translations that the interpreter gave. Jin: "Today is the last day of AANHPI Heritage Month. We joined the White House to stand with the AAHNPI community. And to celebrate." Jimin: We were devestated by the recent surge of hate crimes, including Asian-American hate crimes. To put a stop on this and support the cause, we'd like to take this opportunity to voice ourselves once again." J Hope: "We are here today thanks to our ARMY (our fans) worldwide who have different nationalities, and cultures, and use different languages. We are truly and always grateful." Jungkook: "We still feel surprised that music created by South Korean artists reaches so many people around the world, transcending languages and cultural barriers. We believe music is always an amazing and wonderful unifier of all things." Suga: "It's not wrong to be different. I think equality begins when we open up and embrace all of our differences." V: "Everyone has their own history. We hope today is one step forward to respecting and understanding each and everyone as a valuable person." Whoever asked a question shouldn't have asked a question. Before the BTS members spoke, the White House press secretary said that the group wouldn't be taking any questions and would only be making speeches.

Keep your hearts and minds open to these seven human beings who have displayed authenticity since they debuted in 2013. They're not just music artists, but genuinely connected and caring people who know the expanse of their reach and use their platform responsibly for good. They do this with grace and humility even when the public expectation is sometimes ridiculously high...ARMY supports them, and they fully support us in ways you might discover if you take a moment to look.

So now tell me music doesnt have influence, right now i cant think of a single artist or group that has ever being invited to the white house. That´s called influence and a good one for anyone around the world. So proud of them

BTS always teaching us such good values to uphold and treat people with love and respect🥺 They use their position and influence as youth ambassadors in such a positive and right way. It's not wrong to be different and I am so proud of them to speak on such important issues and inspire people everyday. Couldn't be more proud of them💜

BTS, another First! As an American, as a fan, as an adult who remembers the Beatles invasion, as an adult who hears all the positivity and messages that this group provides to the world, it's very heartwarming to see maybe another barrier broken down. Their popularity helps, not hinders the emergence of more acceptance of music from other countries as well as culture. Thank you BTS, you have done wonders in your short time, from nobodies, to idols, to superstars, to worldwide leaders. Proud to have known and be a fan of you!
