Cleto Reyes must done some changes in their manufacturing. I bought recently WBC edition boxing gloves 14 oz having in my mind that they overweighted. I was very suprised when I came back homeand put them on the scale. 14 oz gloves are around 12.5 oz.

If your going to use them for sparring you should IMHO bandage your hands and tape up the glove irrespective of whichever brand of glove you use. Personally i would use the Cleto Reyes B210 glove or the B410 Safetec glove for sparring / fighting.

Hey Carlo, awesome reviews man. Would you do a review of the BYAKKO Gloves? - $60 and 5 stars on Amazon. I have them and the Fairtex BVG9s in 12oz for pad and bag work. The BYAKKOs have good wrist support but seem a bit cushiony and bouncy on the bag and they are overweight and don't match by around .60 oz. I'm getting back into boxing after a long hiatus and don't know much... Except that I like my Fairtexs haha. Should I keep the BYAKKOs or let them go? Thanks and keep up the good work.

how long does it take to break in a new pair of cleto reyes training gloves

It can take between a couple weeks to over a month depending on how often you wear your gloves and for how long since their leather is very thick but I've loved the process for both of my Reyes!
